zug4abby (287), San Diego, California, USA Nov 15, 2005 pours a black color with no head or lacing. aroma is sour and the flavor is just as sour. I don’t know if this beer is infected or just sucks. I couldn’t handle finishing it, it was to sour and bitter! CaptKirk (175), Hephzibah, Georgia, USA Oct 20, 2005 Pours jet black. Can’t even see through. Slight coffee scent that makes you want to take a sip to see what lies ahead. Finishes with a slight hoppy bitterness that makes you want to keep drinking this well crafted beer. A must try while visiting. lupinered (8), Oregon, USA does not count Sep 21, 2005 Always an option when dining at McMenamins, the Terminator is a solid stout that has stayed consistent in quality for the last several years. A disquitingly slight aroma precedes a fine, crafted to style stout with a great mixture of mocha and chocolate flavors. The finish occasionally has a slight smoky edge to it and almost always leaves a noticeable hop bitterness. Always a drinking option for me. jasonp (1504), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA Aug 13, 2005 On tap at Ram’s Head location in Portland. Pours black with ruby edges and a beige head. Lightly roasty aroma. Flavor has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, mocha, a hint of smoke and a definite hop presence. Pleasantly sweet, roasty finish. Full, round mouthfeel, smooth creamy texture and moderate carbonation. Good stuff. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA Aug 12, 2005 Dark brown appearance. Mild coffee roast, fruity aroma. Smooth roasted malt palate, mild fruit in the aftertaste. BrewDad (2363), Olympia, Washington, USA Jul 30, 2005 WOw what an awesome beer. This has a breat flavor, Smell, and the overall color was awesome. The beer holds up very well as you sit and have an awesome dinner. The Stout has some great character and I would recomend to anyone. Even try a mix between the ruby red and the terminator called a Rubinator. HopasaurusRex (195), Glen Ellyn, Illinois, USA Jul 20, 2005 I can’t believe I haven’t rated this beer yet. One of my favorite stouts. I’d say its somewhere between a sweet stout and dry stout. Lovely chocolate notes, enough body to hold up and light enough to have more than one pint. My #2 fave McMen’s beer after Hammerhead. Hooker (450), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Jun 19, 2005 Black colour with thin tan head. Roasted maklt nose. Medium roasted malt taste with dry coffee finish.
