Mostly tastes like dirty water. I didn’t even finish the sample. I since I was treated so rudely at the bar, this gets re-rated with the low score. blackmurder (164), sadf, Hawaii, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 21, 2008 This black ale poured witha thin tan head and a skunky aroma. The head quickly disappeared. The flavor is smoked malt, but rather thin with a carbonated chalky finish. blueturk (68), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 14, 2008 A stout I’ve had many times and come back to. Classic Mcmenamins flavor with burnt chocolate and slight black patent. This beer is good when is has higher carbonation. Almost like a heavier brown ale with some fizz! unrulythings (73), Portland, Oregon, USA
