WeeHeavySD (2940), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Feb 17, 2008 1/2/08 @ Old Saint Francis School in Bend, with Bikesandbeer and his Girlfriend Jesse. Lunch before driving to Sacramento via Mt. Shasta. 7th Brewery of the trip. Pours black with a bright white ring. Nose is sweet with a light malty nose. Taste is sweet and overall pretty good. BuckeyeBoy (1639), Boise, Idaho, USA Nov 19, 2007 On tap at Pub Portland OR. Pours out a nice almost black topped with a tan head. A nice aroma of dark roast and coffee. Taverner (825), San Ramon, California, USA Nov 9, 2007 One of my favorite stouts. Poured a dark, creamy blackish brown. First flavor was chocolate, but this gave way to the thick rich malt flavor. Thick as pea soup, it was like drinking liquid bread. Warms you to the marrow, and is sweet and bitter. Indra (2018), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Oct 21, 2007 Draft at the Kennedy School location. Darkly sweet aroma, plenty of semi-sweet chocolate here along with some faint toffee and milky sweetness. Largely opaque brown-black color, head is light tan, lasting and fine. Flavor is likewise full of chocolate, but is also highly roasted and toasty, bitter and gently drying, a good bit of hop flavor enters towards the finish, blending with the bitterness of the roasted grains. Mouthfeel is ultimately dry and somewhat thin, body is light-medium. Your typical roasty stout, pretty much. pdxmickey (33), Spokane, Washington, USA Oct 7, 2007 This is one of my favorite stouts of all time. Since I have moved away from Portland I often long for a nice pint of Terminator Stout. If you like dark beers, this is a must try. cathcacr (586), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 27, 2007 On draft at Mac’s. Rated it blind to RB at 3.4 and the consensus got one right for a change. Faint aroma, hardly a head, medium strong flavor, not a huge way from suggesting Imperialness, but otherwise pretty much run of the mill for a micro stout.
