| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 2, 2010 Portland trip. Sampled on draft this beer poured a very dark brown color with a medium sized brown head. The aroma was very faint with touches of coffee and chocolate. The flavor was a touch roasty, bitter and dry but was vague overall. Medium dry finish. Medium body. Ok. SledgeJr (3255), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 29, 2010 On tap at the Spar cafe. Pours black with a thick convex foam rubber-like tan head. Smooth and silky with a mild chocolate finish. This is very close to Boulevard stout. Has a perfect palate of a silk chocolate pie. Being dispensed on nitrogen smooths out any of the carbonation harshness. This is a mildly delicious beer. gracefullypunk (423), Washington, USA

Pours black but barely any head and no lace. Aromas of cocoa and coffee but the chocolate dominates. Taste is more of the same but with some smoke. Palate a bit flat. 22415brewery (67), redmond, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Straightforward flavor of roast from black barley and medium malt backbone. Pours into a pint glass a nice dark black with half an inch of head. A little bit of coffee, slightly creamy, good roastiness, finishes a touch sweet. Also had on Nitro with better than average results.
Makes a killer ice cream float.
I’ve experienced several versions of Terminator and some have been good and some disappointing. Although I’m a huge fan, I’ve found a fair bit of inconsistency with some of the McMenamin’s properties as far as their brews along with their food. I don’t know how much tinkering their brewers do with water chemistry, but there is a definite flavor difference between Terminator brewed in Washington State compared to Terminator brewed in Oregon. Still though, one of my favorite Stouts out of the Northwest. Lubiere (4646), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

A light sweet chocolate aroma with cloying butterscotch notes. In mouth, a decent chocolate with some cherry notes, a bit of an oily mouthfeel, Ok, but no more. Black body with a thick head that sits thinly on top. Some rich coffee flavors to go along with the creamy roastiness. thooper41 (398), Oregon, USA
