Cask at Nags Head, Covent Garden, London. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with citrusy notes of hops as well as notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a slightly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is very smooth.

Cask at the Nag’s Head. Golden coloured beer. Aroma is quite spicy and zesty. Light grapefruit, orange and a bit of herbal/spicy character. Medium bodied, but with a great balance of light challenger-esqe hops. Bright zesty flavour on the finish. Really quite unique and tasty.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 piscator34 (1582) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 22, 2007
cask @ The Prince of Wales, Shrivenham. The first cask ale of my 2007 trip to England. Light copper in colour, with aromas of very mild citrus fruit, nutty British pale malts, and a bit of grassy hops. More light fruit in the mouth, with notes of crusty bread, and delicate floral and wood elements. A bit of a watery palate, and fairly low bitterness level. Understated overall, but good. A solid start to the trip.

Cask @ Nags Head, Covent Garden. Amber colour with frothy white head. Aroma is floral / nuts / hops. Taste is smooth / citrus / hoppy. OK enough beer, but lacks that punch.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2008 Bon accord. Aroma is minimal, though toffee malt is key. Taste has lots of bittering hop over a toffee malt base, a nice drink but a bit boring. RERATE: Cask at the nags head: This was totally random, i just went in here while waiting on The Duff getting of the tube and was like i’ll just have the cask ale. It was a wise move. The aroma is like soo fresh and hoppy, its like nosing a fresh bag of english hops, really like im just going to sit here and totally nose this to death. Taste is soo juicey and tasty and like i managed to drink like a pint and a half in 10 mins and was concidering telling the duff we’re just going to stay there and drink all night. Iv been back for more and its still awsome, so wasnt one of those moments of madness. Everytime i go near this place im goign to have to get a pint of it.
