2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 kempicus (343) - Bakewell, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - APR 5, 2009
Best of the range that i tasted but i was expecting a lot better....advertised as a whole hop brewery but perhaps they should switch to pellets! Not a hell of a lot of flavour or aroma but it gets better as it warms i guess...little bit nutty, dry finish....pah
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Dorqui (1768) - Brescia, ITALY - JAN 19, 2009
Cask at "Nag’s Head" (Covent Garden - London).
Limpid amber color, rather elegant and fraught. Compact and adherent head of discreet resistance. Determined and delicate aroma, pleasant rumors of burned wood, slightly braced malt, resin and honey on the end.

Handpulled cask at the Camp, St. Albans. Amber with an off-white headd Toffee and grainy malt characters, followed by some citric tang bitterness in the finish, very well balanced and refreshing.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 wheresthepath (1285) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 31, 2008
[Cask at the Old Beams, Milton Keynes] Oh dear, oh dear, this was dismal. My overall impression was weak and watery - a little earthy hops, but predominantly wet dishcloths and old socks. Like a cask bitter from a macro brewer who can’t really be bothered to put any effort into it. Very surprised at the relatively high rating on here, so perhaps it was just me?
