Draft at brewpub. Pours yellow with a thin white head. A it of fruitiness on the nose. A little bit of a leafy vibe on the tongue. Finishes clean and tight. Solid for style.

Poured from a large bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a straw-gold color and was a touch cloudy with an average-sized foamy white head that had modest retention, light cling and average lacing. Its aroma featured notes of citrus, with lighter touches of pine and straw, along with some grainy hops and a light malt effect. Its taste was a mix of light sweet malty tones and a subtle citrus bitterness, but overall it was underdeveloped. The beer had a light, wet body with average carbonation and a modes mouthfeel.

On tap at pony. Really good for a kolsch but to be fair really tastes like a fresh citrusy ipa. Great flavor, finishes light

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2012 Tap @ Pony w Andy James. Kind of a weak, nondescript aroma. Grainy palate upfront but sweetens into subdued floral/fruity hops on the tongue. Decent in terms of drinkability but not very flavorful.

Sampled at St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Gold pour, white head. Mild grassy hops with bready yeast. Just okay.

22oz Bottle, purchased at Discount Beverage - West Brattleboro, VT. Soft freshly-baked bread, pre-thunderstorm humidity, and hay stems. This is a very balanced and surprisingly good example of the style. Fresh, creamy smooth malts make a counterpoint against juicy, green Noble hop character. Plenty of mineral and some sweetness from a nip of alcohol. My critiques are that the malts are a little mushy and showing some age and that there’s a distant hint of DMS. The yeast is giving some appropriate white wine-like tones in the finish. Overall, very enjoyable, very drinkable and plenty of balanced flavor and texture to keep it interesting.

Aside from a bottle that looked like it had been rolled from the brewery to the store, it’s a pretty good brewski. Fairly pale and thin, but it’s balanced with a good deal of lemony spice. I like this beer and, as it’s fairly cheap, I’d get it again.
