Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 10, 2006 A pitch black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of chocolate, but also with light notes of coffee. The flavor is dry roasted - as dry as licking on a piece of wood, though a chocolate covere piece of wood, since it also has some chocolate notes. I find it a bit too dry - but still drinkable. omhper (10438), Stockholm, Sweden Nov 22, 2004 Bottled. Very black, brown head. Intensely roasty with some licorice up front. Dry and richly malty and full flavoured with clean mouthfeel. Strikingly hoppy, some citrus. Very bitter, resiny finish. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 8, 2006 Updated: Sep 9, 2007(Bottle 65 cl) Pours completely black and opaque with a dense, handsome, light brown head. Burned, malty aroma. Solid body, lightly vinous with accents of very hard roasted, coffeeish malt and a burned edge. Some alcohol and some aroma hops shine through.
