Sample at McNeills. This seemed a bit off to me. Malty-sweet aroma was ok, but piney herbal qualities seemed out of synch with bock smoky maltiness, which was very low-powered. A little soapy. Not terrible, but needs some tinkering I think.

Also had at the extreme beer fest, tap. Murky brown. Lots of malt, sweet, slightly citric, big iced tea flavor. I enjoyed it.

Extreme Beer Fest Boston 2004: Has a clouded orange/amber color and a fruit/malt smell. Taste kind of malted/citrus and finished pretty dry. Overall, again, disappointed with this beer, not a very good maibock...

Draft @ extreme beer fest'04: Not much nose, citrus. Hazy red color. Sweet & Malty, ruby red grapefruit juice and toffee come to mind. Ok finish, kinda dry. Man I wish I had tried this earlier in the afternoon. Think I was suffering from burn out.
