COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This bottle of Pullman's Porter is hand-made from choice domestic barley malt and fresh whole-flower hops. This rich, dark, hoppy brew is made in the style enjoyed by porters in Nineteenth century England.

22 ounce bomber poured a dark brown color, aromas of chocolate, smidge of coffee, floral hops that are not overpowering. Light carbonation, light on the palate, a decent porter that tasted like the aromas.

I liked this porter. Balanced. Tasted of malt. Poured dark and had a beautiful creamy head. McNeill’s has some really fantastic beers and I would say this isn’t there best but is pretty damn good.

Bottle to snifter. Pours dark brown with a soapy off white head that fades to a soapy film and collar. Aroma is malty metallic with not much else. Taste is is biiter malt and faint hops with a metallic aftertaste. Palate is thin medium with a bitter dry finish.

Draft at RnH with Linh. Pour a deep brown body with minor lacing. Aroma is fresh hops and light roast. Mouthfeel is a bit surprising - tastes almost like a black ipa with a large presence of hop in the flavor. Nicely carbonated and balanced between the rich roast and bready notes.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Bottle at Minneapolis Beer Fest. Dark pour, semi-foamy white head. Aroma and taste of mild licorice, cocoa, and somewhat metallic. Wasn’t loving this one.

From a bottle poured a brown color with a good amount of head. Sweet malty flavor with a quick finish.

Bomber. I can only assume that the bottle I got was damaged. What poured out was an overcarbonated science project gone bad. Once the foam finally died down enough to take a taste it definitely seemed off. Curiously I see other reviewers who might have had similar experiences so maybe what I tasted was what it was supposed to be and in that case it is a disaster. In any case will not be buying this again.

Poured from 22 oz bottle. Poured like a homebrew. Foamed up half the glass and had to anxiously wait to settle to finish filling glass. Dark brown with amber tint. Roasted malt aroma. Very carbonated. Roasted malt flavors with chocolate notes. Unpleasant tartness.
