22 oz bomber from Canals Hainesport. Poured a reddish body under a bubbly/foamy off white head. Aroma had some juicy orange notes mixed in with dusty grains and some wet cereal. Flavor of dirty earth and some raw malts. Thin mouthfeel with bubbly carbonation and thankfully a quick fading aftertaste.

Pours reddish, amber with a reasonable, fluffy white head. Caramel malts, interesting funkiness attributable to the grapes, pine, floral hops. Sweet malts favors upfront as an interesting spice hits on the finish. Pretty good.

UPDATED: MAR 3, 2011 Draft. Pours a deep amber color with nice head and lacing on glass. Smells of fruit and carmel. Taste is fruity witha crisp pilsner bite. Not bad, but im not sure if this is an amber. More like a beefy red ale with a powerful nose and flavors of concord grapes.. Theted carmel am sharp tangy hops. Pretty good
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Slipstream (1775) - USA - FEB 6, 2011
There is a silly drawing on the label - I’m not sure what the point is of the Indian/Middle East references. Very pleasant aroma of fresh bread, pine needles, and flowers. The aroma reminds me a little of some Sierra Nevada releases. The flavor is robust, with plenty of sharp, tangy English hops and some dandelion. This seemed more like a strong bitter or English pale ale than an amber. Ruby is an excellent Vermont brew, and my favorite so far from McNeill.
