2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 blipp (3600) - Newark, New Jersey, USA - JAN 9, 2011
Bottle. Pours amberish brown with an off white head. Flowery hoppy aroma, a little bit soapy, and a light sweetness. The flavor has lemony and floral hops, pale malts, and a light plasticy note. Not awful.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Boliv (964) - New York, USA - DEC 27, 2010
Bomber. Pours hazy, coppery orange, with almost no head. Aromas of sweet pine, caramel, and spruce. The flavor is slightly bitter pine, caramel, spruce, and earthy bark and dirt. Medium carbonation and body, making this pretty smooth. Pretty tasty brew.

Bomber pours amber in color with huge infected head. The aroma has mild notes of malt and crystal malt sweetness under a curtain of acidicness. The taste shows some promise as I can pick out some nice malty notes underneath the tart to sour infection. Seems like a good beer might be hiding in here somewhere.

22oz bottle Tampa Wkly Gathering @TampaPourhouse Thanks Ibrew2or3-pours a light tan head with copper color. Aroma is fruity, light/medium malt. Taste is sour fruit (production issue again? I’m with rudolf), light/medium malt, spice hops. Was going to be generous @2.0 but 1.7

Every McNeills beer I’ve had over the past 6 or 7 years (all bottled) have been infected. They obviously want to sell infected beer so I’m going to rate infected beer. Nose is apple, band-aid, plastic, toffee. Flavor is smokey plastic, roast, caramel. Unpleasant bitterness.

On tap for growler fills at Half Time. Pours a hazed amber with a medium sized head. Fuzzy styrofoam, smells a bit like it could be infected, nothing severe, just odd. Something I’ve noticed with a couple of the kegs of McNeil’s I’ve tried, perhaps some filtration problems, who knows. Paper and hops. Hoppy, malt and paper, and caramel. Light grapefruit on the finish.

Ruby red grapefruit and a sour white wine. Pink orange and no head. Bittersweet and sour finish. A really excellent bitter beer. Bring more.

22oz. Bottle: Sweet aroma of malt, fruit, light hops, flowers, and caramel. Poured amber/orange in color with a huge, fluffy, rocky, frothy, creamy, off-white/tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Excellent lacing. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of malt, hops, slight wood, slight pine, and slight grapefruit. Medium body. Tingly texture. Average carbonation. Malt, resin, and hops finish has a strange malt component to it.
