Bottle, 6.0%. Perfumy malt aroma. Clear amber colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is sweet, yeasty and perfumy with a touch of metal in the finish. Come to think of it, it is more than a touch, it is a distinct iron flavour like many other beers from this company. I do not get any smoke.

Dark amber, airy offwhite head. Skunky aroma, taste is sweetish, very metallic, not very pleasant, kind of like nosebleed... Aftertaste is long, unfortunately. No smoke.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy off-white head. Unpleasant aroma of booze with skunky and ashy notes. disagreeable flavour of iron with some ashy and caramellish notes. Metallic aftertaste. Fascinating in its ugliness. Yuck, gentlemen.

Bottle sample. Clear copper color, small head. Malty nose, with maple and butterscotch. Caramel malt flavor, some sour notes, no smoke and low bitterness. Light body and forgettable.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Dancing Camel Pub. Thanks tom. Clear reddish brown, with a frothy off-white head. Slightly alcoholic sweet aroma, like sweet red wine. Tastes sweet and a little sour like cheap red wine. Light body, soft carbonation, long finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Tom. Clear shony amber with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, some fruitiness, honey and a bit of whiskey notes. Sweet malty caramelly flavor with some fruitiness, whiskey notes, light acidity and a drier finish. Medium-bodied. Kinda OK but not smoky at all.

Bottle at Delirium Café. Pours very dark ruddy copper with a slight beige head. Aroma seems both scotch whiskey smoke and chocolate. Med body. Flavor is mild scotch whiskey smoke and lots and lots of chocolate. Amazingly smooth. And weird. Drinks damn well tho.

Bottle from a Karstadt in Kreuzberg, by N12. Sweet and sugary nose with orange peel and some lemon cleaner and cardamom, smells much more like a wit than what’s advertised on the label. Body a dark amber-red with a short tan head. Taste is only slightly sweet, has a filthy industrial cleanser feel and taste that somehow strips away the pleasure of a citrus taste (there is none) and pushes instead toward rubber and heather. Light-medium body, sterile and flattish, maybe a hint of peat but that too might be a stretch.
