Dacrza (164), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA Apr 14, 2008 Light translucent orange body, with slight effervescence... swiftly dissipating white head.... sharp light beer malts, with hints of bread... active, carbonated mouthfeel... medium-bodied presence...becomes gassy quickly...low expectations and the rare "on-sale" price at Bottle King going in, McSorley’s another American ale masquerader--eases up in the presence by mid-glass, and probably the fifth beer you wnat to reach for in a six-pack night...

Haslinger (546), Syracuse, New York, USA Sep 17, 2008 On tap at :Lucy’s. Decent cheap tap beer. Nothing really here to like or dislike. Drinkable and cheap that’s about it jeremytoni (589), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Sep 10, 2008 From a bottle poured a straw color with a small amount of head. A mild slightly malty ale with no real finish. Guinness4Duff (464), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA Aug 17, 2008 On tap at McSorley’s Ale House. Im assuming that this is the one referred to as the "light", got two mugs that were about 2/3 amber colored beer 1/3 cream colored head. Sweet grainy aroma with a taste that follows. Sweet caramel malt taste with a little bitterness, but these were brewed for pounding by the dozen, not for rating. daknole (838), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 15, 2008 On tap at JFK. Amberish color, no head by the time it was served to me. Aroma is just grainy and malty. Flavor is boring and pretty lousy. Just give me a bass please. Nothing special here.
