molassesfan (196), Wilmington, North Carolina, USA May 25, 2007 Had this at Keagan’s in Newport News. Pours amber with a decent white head and good lacing. Aroma is malty with slight bits of fruit, hops, and metal. Flavor is quite well balanced with a somewhat dry finish. Just the right thickness. I typically go for something darker, but this is excellent.
jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Sep 27, 2008 12 oz bottle-pours a foamy off white head and amber color. Aroma is sweet grain/medium malt. Slight sharpness. Taste is sweet caramel/woody/grain/medium malt, slight sharpness. Medium body. OK carbonation. Thanks to jwc215 for picking this out. Haslinger (552), Syracuse, New York, USA Sep 17, 2008 On tap at :Lucy’s. Decent cheap tap beer. Nothing really here to like or dislike. Drinkable and cheap that’s about it jeremytoni (589), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Sep 10, 2008 From a bottle poured a straw color with a small amount of head. A mild slightly malty ale with no real finish. Guinness4Duff (464), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA Aug 17, 2008 On tap at McSorley’s Ale House. Im assuming that this is the one referred to as the "light", got two mugs that were about 2/3 amber colored beer 1/3 cream colored head. Sweet grainy aroma with a taste that follows. Sweet caramel malt taste with a little bitterness, but these were brewed for pounding by the dozen, not for rating. daknole (862), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 15, 2008 On tap at JFK. Amberish color, no head by the time it was served to me. Aroma is just grainy and malty. Flavor is boring and pretty lousy. Just give me a bass please. Nothing special here.
