Like a lower quality guiness in everyway... Nothing great about this beer.. Just middle of the road

Tasted from bottle into nucleated pint glass. It poured an opaque dark brown color with long-lasting creamy foam and lots of lace. Very nice appearance, likely from unmalted roasted grains. True-to-style Schwarzbier. Not sure if any kind of lager is authentically Irish, but it was indistinguishable from Guinness’ new Black Lager to me. Nice refreshing, roasty, tart dark lager with a nutty, dry finish. Good stuff.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours black with a thin ring of off-white head. Aroma of light caramel and chocolate with some faint herbal hops. Taste is light bitter and light sweet. Coffee, chocolate and faint sprucy hops. Medium bodied with a somewhat creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a longish finish. Overall, not bad. I could drink this again.

Poured into a perfect pint.
3.5 A: Black color. Two fingers of creamy tan head. Retention is good, but little lacing is left.
3.0 S: Dry, dusty roastiness. Very faint neutral maltiness. Clean. Otherwise, not much going on.
3.0 T: Light dry roastiness. Slightest touch of chocolate. Very faint malt sweetness. Again, not much going on.
3.5 M: Light to lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lightly creamy.
3.0 D: Fairly tame schwarzbier, but not bad. Goes down quite easy.

Bottle. Had along with the Guinness Black Lager. Pours dark brown with a medium sized beige head. The aroma was fairly mild like the other, but had some light roast, mild coffee notes and a splash of cocoa. The flavor was much of the same with lighter roast, cocoa and coffee. Medium light body with nothing off noted.
