COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At McSorley’s ale is well. McSorley’s Irish Pale Ale is from the old house at home. Established in 1854 in NYC and brewed by McSorley’s Brewery in Wilks-Barre, PA. Brewed in the tradition of the historic walls of McSorley’s Old Ale House. It took 116 years, the pressure of public opinion and ultimately the authority of a court order for McSorley’s to surrender. By the mid 1970s, McSorley’s allowed woman inside the bar at 15 E. 7th St for the very first time. Ah, but the owners did not completely forgo tradition, women would wait until 1986 to get their own restroom.

Bought a sixer at 7-11 after the storm. Kind of a hoppy amber ale. Not much to say. Drinkable.

Rich amber/copper color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of toasted malt, & caramel; Flavor of slight sweet malt, caramel, hops/grain, and some fruit; Finish is slightly bitter; Pretty bland and boring - meh.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, copper in color with a nice off white head. Lots of lacing. Malty, caramel nose with some hints of hops... Taste is not great but it is a solid and drinkable malty (a bit too sweet) beer some hops are present but not that noticeable. OK Beer.

A pale ale with a lot of bite. Not very hoppy and kind of fruity. Not very smooth and is a beer I would not get again. Pours dark orange ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Yamaya. Creamy, rounded whiskeyish malt nose. Copper color, fine tan head. Crisp, puckering pickled prunes initial / mid has a small carb burn and some harsh alc hits / finish is mild, with a touch of bitterness. Thin-medium body. Okay. Aroma promises a lot more than the flavors provide. Still, drinkable.

Pours copper color, very clear. Almost no head. What little head there is, is white. Aroma is nonexistent. What little scent I’m picking up is sweet wheat. Flavor is bland. Nearly no flavor at all. This beer is boring. Not sure why this beer is why wife’s favorite. It’s not that good. Palate, no taste at all. Very low carbonation. No lace.

bottle. Nasty ass beer. Pale ale with minimal hops and rotting garbage flavor. Wtf?

An interesting bit of nostalgia, that starts off okay (although not much more than some malt and generic hops) but then descends into an empty palate, and spirals out of control with a horrible aftertaste that reminded me of the formaldehyde smell from the frogs we dissected in Mr. DiTurno’s 7th grade biology class back in ’84. Yuck.

Bottle(von Max sein Vatter): Golden to orangey coloured, hazy, small but stable creamy off-white head, mild to moderate herbal to medical and slightly fruity nose, light bodied; dryish mild bitter-sweet flavour; the medical impressions return, a certain fruitiness included, in the shorter dry finish. Average, but not unpleasant ale…

Bottle. Deep copper caramel colored brew with a long lasting khaki head. An almond and caramel nose. There is also some nice dough. This tastes like grapefruit and raw dough. This also has a woody soapy finish. Meh.
