3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Bif (1029) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 26, 2012
On tap- Served a black color with a nice tan head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of malt with a trace of caramel. There is also a bit of coffee and nut in the background. Taste of malt, coffee and some bittersweet chocolate. There is a nice bitterness throughout and a dry finish. Medium body, crisp and smooth. Nice balance. Easy drinker, nice beer for the style. I think having this on tap at an Irish pub enhances the character of this beer.

Draft at McSorleys, where I think this is what the "light" beer is. Deep clear amber pour with a lasting two finger off-white head. Caramel and cereal grain aroma with mild earthy hoppiness. The flavor is big on caramel, grain, and bready notes. A little herbal too, not bad. Medium-bodied and slightly crisp with soft carbonation. A reasonable but not excitig beer.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 milewide (1205) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 3, 2010
Black color, with only a bit of light coming through. Light head and medium body. Modest aroma, but lots of roasted malt flavor---especially for a lager.

veyr smooth, very sweet. Not much character at all. I could drink this beer again but I probably won’t....unless its free. Worth a try though.

Draft at McSorley’s (NYC). Not a lot of flavor or aroma to the beer, but the surrounding environment somehow help to make it enjoyable. There are some grassy hop notes and a slight green apple flavor to it, but not much else I can remember.

Hmmm. Fairly typical Irish lager. Malty nose. Malty taste. A bit thin on the palate. Meh. Not great, but not bad.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Dredd (638) - Bentleigh, AUSTRALIA - DEC 25, 2008

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Capa (1905) - Manama, BAHRAIN - AUG 27, 2008
Light herbal hops, malty, and a touch of roasted notes lead this boring brew. Easy to drink all night long, though.

Pours straw gold into the glass with a nice white head. Aroma is sweet and corny. Taste is much the asme with plenty of sweet and not enough bitterness to counter.
