0,3l Flasche. Orangegelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Es duftet nach orange, leicht malzig; schmeckt auch so. Angenehm süffig zum Schluß eine angenehme Hopfenbittere. Das beste portugiesische Bier das ich kenne.

33cl bottle bb 02/2015 courtesy of bastarda lusitania, obrigado. What a cute and mean sardine! Wheaty orange pour with soapy head. Shy aroma of thickened citrus marmelade, some plastic, alcohol and boiled dandelion showing up. Elegant, fine carbonation helps to transport a monodimensional zesty bitterness (orange, tangerine) into hyperpresence over soggy, wheaty pale malts. Resinous, dry pithy finish. Obvious Liberty Ale/Cascade-style APA parameters are there in the mix, only to my tastes insufficiently tied into a balanced malt base to make a truly enjoyable drinking experience: the ponderous, vegetable root bitterness gets harsher with each sip. Really missing a decent malt base and elegant aromas here. - Hats off to this start-up microbrewery for jumpstarting the West Coast Iberian chapter of the European hop revolution at its dozy outer fringe, but surely you’d expect even post-Salazarians weaned on Super Bock to be sensible to the fact that even revolutionaries end up craving balance in the long run?

on tap @Cerveteca Lisboa. aromas of Mango, Citrus, a hint of pine and tangerine; crisp taste, Mangoes, Citrus, Pine again, Some grassy notes, a subtle bitterness at the finish. Quite a big APA, leaning towards IPA, nicely done!

Review acoording to BJCP2008 guidelines (style 10A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 03-14. AROMA: very nice moderate hop aroma with citrusy and floral notes. low malt support aromas with faint esters (dried grapes like). APPEARANCE: deep amber color and somewhat clear for a craft beer. moderate ivory head with good retention. TASTE: hop flavor dominates with nice citrusy and floral notes. faint malt character with balance towards the hops. moderate hop bitterness that lingers into a medium dry finish. PALATE: medium body with moderate carbonation and no astringency. OVERALL: a very good craft american pale ale with fascinating hop aromas and flavours. Almost spot on. Recommended.

Bottle from andregoncalves, many thanks!

Bottle 33cl thanks to andregoncalves. Color is amber, with a medium but persistent head till the end. Quite herbal, citric (grapefruit mostly) malt, hoppy, medium body and carbonation enough. Very refreshing but aftertaste is short and dry.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2014 Shared a 33cl bottle thanks to andregoncalves. Pours a orangish golden colour with a nice medium white head. Aroma is hoppy, citrus and fruity. Average carbonation and light to medium body. Taste is medium to high bitter and medium sweet. In the first sip there is a bit too much citrus but rapidly it gets into you. Overall, can I have another, please?

Excellent APA with an incredible aroma, fruity and hoppy. Nice head and well carbonated. Fine taste, very well balanced with a long finish. A must drink beer.
