COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cold fermented and lagered. Only available in 330ml bottles.
"Porter style Ale. Chocolate and beer! Are we Mad? We’d rather say passionate. We marry the soothing flavour of this complex malt barley grist with a hint of dark chocolate. This is a beer for your more self-indulgent moments. Great for lazy afternoons or long evenings, it is best served chilled with your feet up, watching the sun go down. Like we say – chilled."
"A silky-smooth suppertime beer, created using dark malts and chocolate. Pronounced vanilla notes fuse the chocolate and malts together to give a rich, warming, flavour that also works well as a complement to fruity desserts, summer puddings and autumn berries."

Flasa. Farba hneda, rubinova. Pena kremova bublinkova, ale okamzite opadla :( Vona kavova, horuce kakao, jemne slad a zlahka ako keby prezrete visne. Telo stredne plne, hladke, v dochuti jemne nasytene. Chut na zaciatku jemna kyslost kavy, neskor prechadza do horkej cokolady. Dochut s horucim kakaom a velmi jemnnou horkostou. Pitelne pivo.

Bottle (330 ml). Courtesy of Florian, thanks! Dark brown with a small persistent beige head and little lacing. Aroma is of chocolate, milky sweetness, light fruits and espresso notes. Taste is also of milky sweetness (moderately sweet). dark chocolate, light fruitiness and roasted malt. Light body. Almost watery. Moderate carbonation. Silky mouthfeel. Not a whole lot of complexity here. And limited drinkability because of the sweetness and the mouthfeel. It’s not awful, but it’s not even near to be enjoyable.

330 mml Bottle tasted on 07/05/2014. Chocolate is the principal note of the beer. The aroma is excellent and the sweet taste is very nice. Drinkable beer. I like it. Next one please!

From 330 ml bottle. Pours a dark but clear brown with red highlights at the edge and a small tan head. Aromas of dark fruit, vanilla, milk chocolate and a little coffee. The coffee is much more pronounced in the flavour. That’s complemented by a firm roast bitterness that slips away to vanilla and light chocolate. Good porter but not as much chocolate as you might expect.

This is a re-rate. My first try at this beer was about two years ago. I found it very much a "chocolate milk", one-dimensional, very sweet, velvety, malty and full of cocoa, with plenty of dark chocolate. I had in a 330 ml bottle, labelled as "Chocolate Porter". Now, I can be more fair, as I notice the sour aroma of strawberries and apples, and a lovely tartness on the flavour, together with the Baltic saltiness. My Easter chocolate!
