Cold fermented and lagered. Only available in 330ml bottles.
"Porter style Ale. Chocolate and beer! Are we Mad? We’d rather say passionate. We marry the soothing flavour of this complex malt barley grist with a hint of dark chocolate. This is a beer for your more self-indulgent moments. Great for lazy afternoons or long evenings, it is best served chilled with your feet up, watching the sun go down. Like we say – chilled."
"A silky-smooth suppertime beer, created using dark malts and chocolate. Pronounced vanilla notes fuse the chocolate and malts together to give a rich, warming, flavour that also works well as a complement to fruity desserts, summer puddings and autumn berries."

Great black appearance with beige head. Dark chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Tasty chocolate and bitterness in the taste. Texture is rather light, but also doesn’t have a high ABV. Nice.

Bottle. Black/brown, with a small head. Thin body. Aroma is of sour malt, strange. Taste is sweet, with malt and chocolate and subtle vanilla. Has a slight artifcial note to it. Okay beer.

Ah. Now I’ve sussed what I’m supposed to be rating (I think a rebrand may have taken place). 330ml bottle. Waitrose. Clear, dark, ruby red. Thick, bubbly, beige head, that I suspect won’t last. Dried vine fruit. Cocoa powder. A hint of rubber, or at best, leather. Taste is cocoa dry. Some bonfire toffee sweetness. Palate is dry, and thin. Finish is, too. Feels sickly and artificial. There’s something about Meantime beers that I can’t get on with, which I know is my loss..,

Drank 19/9/2014 while watching The Office. Promising name but the taste is a bit watery. Sweet hints of soft chocolate, but very faint. Thus, not rich. Too bad of the wateriniss, still an okay beer though.

I’ve had things claiming to be ’chocolate porter’ before but this one I actually felt really deserved it. Bottle - clear red with a foamy light brown head which quickly fades to a thin ring. Good lacing. Aroma of loads of vanilla with chocolate. Taste is milky chocolate, cocoa and vanilla with cream and light bitterness to finish. A bit too sweet to drink more than the 330ml bottle. Silky medium body with low carbonation. A little sticky.
