"Porter style Ale. Chocolate and beer! Are we Mad? We’d rather say passionate. We marry the soothing flavour of this complex malt barley grist with a hint of dark chocolate. This is a beer for your more self-indulgent moments. Great for lazy afternoons or long evenings, it is best served chilled with your feet up, watching the sun go down. Like we say – chilled."
"A silky-smooth suppertime beer, created using dark malts and chocolate. Pronounced vanilla notes fuse the chocolate and malts together to give a rich, warming, flavour that also works well as a complement to fruity desserts, summer puddings and autumn berries."

Bottle. Dark allmost black colour with a weak head. Light mild chocolate aroma with hints of dry maltness. Weak chocolate flavour with a sweetness and a little fruity finish.

Dark red-brownish colored, vanishing light brown head. Dark chocolate dominates this sweet aroma, mild alcohol there also. Flavor is even more chocolaty with biting hops, carbonation also comes up. Mild alcohol in drying aftertaste, still dark chocolate lasts.

Bottle: Dark red/black colour, with a smal head. Aroma is a mix of dark chocolate, and coffee. Flavor is almost the same, werry sweet, for a stout, reminds me moore about a Porter than a stout.Dry bitter finish, light to medium body.medium finish. But to sweet for me this time.

(Bottle 33 cl) Black and almost opaque - I do detect a vague tint of orange - and a small, dissipating light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, lightly vinous with some dried fruit. Medium body, roasted, malty notes, dried fruit and a warming alcohol. The finish is lightly bitter. 090407

Intens brown with light brownish hue and offwhite head. Ridge and creamy mouthfeel. Lovely taste of chocolate, soft caramel and hint’s of vanilla. Nice going and is clearly not a stout.

I wasn’t disappointed by this nice very dark brown beer with the huge nice head. The chocolate aroma has notes of filled chocolates in the way you feel it when entering a nice chocolate store, but not as much as in Kjaerstrups Kakao stout. The flavour is pure chocolate with light notes of licorice, coffee and a hint of smoke and the bitterness is like in bitter chocolate or cold coffee.

Aromas of vanilla and chocolate. Deep ruby tinted brown color with vigorous beige head. Definitely chocolate in the start. Vanilla at the start of a sip. Finishes with bitter chocolate. A bit thinnish, but quite unusual.

Dark brown with off white head. Light roasted malts - chocolate, caramel & vanilla. Light synthetic chocolate. Body is creamy & Medium! Easy malty sweetness. Have to keep in mind that this is a schwarzbier! OK

Bottle. Head was moderated creamy and off-white. Color was dark brown. Aroma was clear bitter chocolate with other notes of vanilla, roast and malt. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and a dry texture. Flavor was well balanced between the light bitter and sweet notes. Finish starts off with bitter chocolate notes, then turns into notes of coffee, but the lingering impression is chocolate. Nice chocolate beer!
