3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very dark brown color with reddish glitters. Pale beige and lasting head, creamy. Aromas to cappuccino, chocolate and a lactic touch, due to the yeast. Mouthfeel to chocolate, cafe au lait and maybe dark berries. Watery and light texture, not too long development and an aftertaste which is pure chocolate. Delicate and good. Much better if it’s chilled.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very nice bottle. Soft bitters with a very clear taste of not so bitter chocolate. First bite is suprising but it ends a bit disappointing in the development of the taste.
chocolate, roasty, creamy,

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl bottle shared. Pours dark cola brown with a thick creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet and roasted malts, some caramel, lot of chocolate. Taste is similar, not more than some roastiness and chocolate. Medium body, watery texture, too thin, a little more carbonated. Disappointing.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.33 bottle from Csakajósör. Black body, dark brown head, thick. Wonderful aroma, chocolate and berries. Foam tastes dark chocolate, rather bitter. Beer is very smooth, silky. Tastes chocolate plus some red fruites. Complex, exciting. Then maybe losing some complexity in the end, becoming a bit sirupy. Aftertaste rather neutral, dark chocolate with a hint of bitterness. Overall, a bit on the sweet end, which makes it a dessert beer, sort of. Yet, very harmonic stuff, a geed brew after all.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle / Waitrose / Greenwich / £1.90. It makes a nice change to get a strong chocolate aroma of a chocolate stout/porter. It pours a very dark caramel with very little to no head. The taste is all lovely malt chocolate and dark chocolate. I don’t get any artificial flavour nor an alcohol hit for a 6.5% beer. Very nice to find a beer that claims to contain chocolate and be able to taste it. Cracking beer especially for less than 2 squids
