"Porter style Ale. Chocolate and beer! Are we Mad? We’d rather say passionate. We marry the soothing flavour of this complex malt barley grist with a hint of dark chocolate. This is a beer for your more self-indulgent moments. Great for lazy afternoons or long evenings, it is best served chilled with your feet up, watching the sun go down. Like we say – chilled."
"A silky-smooth suppertime beer, created using dark malts and chocolate. Pronounced vanilla notes fuse the chocolate and malts together to give a rich, warming, flavour that also works well as a complement to fruity desserts, summer puddings and autumn berries."

Pours dark brown with ruby edging and a thin tan head. Smells exactly like Cadbury’s Dairy Milk chocolate, with a wee hint of dark malt. Is incredibly rich in flavour, it is all milk chocolate - like I’m eating a block of it. It has quite a watery finish and a bit of fizziness too which really work to cleanse the palate and make you want to go back for more. Couldn’t get any closer to liquid chocolate if you tried - it even hides any hint of its 6.5% ABV.

Dark brown, almost black body with a beige head. Really strong chocolate cocoa aroma and roasted malt. Taste is sweet with light bitter finish. You can really taste the chocolate here. Nice.

Bottle @ Elfo’s Pub, Perugia, Italy. Pours with a dark brown colour, off-white small head. Aroma is medium malty with notes of dark chocolate, coffee and soft notes of vanilla, and medium hoppy. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation.

Suave aroma a chocolate, nada pronunciado.

Bottle. Dark pour. Okay head. Chocolate aroma with some malts. A lot of chocolate in the taste. A lot indeed. Some roasted hints in the back. Refreshing. Chocolate again in the aftertaste with some malts and light roasted hints. Chocolate indeed.

Bottle from Waitrose in Buxton. Dark with only a head around the glass rim. Chocolate is more than evident, perhaps mostly in its aftertaste but this is more than pleasant in the palate, although there’s plenty of nose too.

A really nice after dinner beer. Not to one to drink all night but perfectly pleasant for a change.

The aroma reminds me of dark chocolate and port wine. Taste is very chocolately with hints of coffee and a pronounced bitterness at the end. The only drawback is the strong carbonation. For my taste it could be less fizzy to underline the chocolate taste.
