Avaialable in 330ml bottles only. Cold fermented and lagered.
May be known as Coffee Porter.
Our first formulation of this beer was the first UK brewed beer to carry the Fairtrade logo, and although we have reformulated it to create an even better blend better the malt and roast coffee flavours and can no longer get enough coffee in each bottle to qualify for Fairtrade status, we are still using the same Faitrade Araba Bourbon beans from Rwanda’s Abuhuzamugambi Co-operative. At the Meantime Brewing Co we love flavour, so it wasn’t exactly difficult for us to see how the scents and aromas of coffee and barley would create a perfect match like just like mint and lamb, toffee and banana, peaches and cream, peanut butter and jam. Serve lightly chilled with as many chocolate truffles as your conscience allows.

Aromas of licorice and bitter chocolate. Taste is dark chocolate with a hop bitterness. Not much coffee shining through but individual components of roast, bitter, and bread.

This porter pours in dark body with ruby notes when put against the light, it has almost no head. Aroma is really full of coffee, like cold coffee, pretty clean, light caramel too. Taste is bitter upfront, little bit acidic even, the coffee sweetness comes in later in the after taste and leaves an astringent feel on the tongue. The acidity may come from the coffee. Simple palate. Body is light, oily with medium carbonation.

Nice enough dry-ish porter. Very much along the traditional English style than an American Robust. Coffee is decently nuanced. Enjoyable and would pick up occasionally. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

BB 08.2014, 0,33L bottle. Pours black with ruby highlights. The head is very light tan, it stays. The aroma is coffee, roasted malts, little metallic, some sweetness. Taste: coffee, roasted malt, tart, creamy, hints of fruits. Finish has some hints of dark chocolate bitterness, but is very short. Overall: rather similar to the chocolate porter, only this time it’s coffee instead of chocolate. It has the same general problem for me - it feels too light to really enjoy it.

Bottle. Pours brown with quickly settling tan head, moderate lacing. Aroma is coffee, toasted, toffee, and nutty. Flavor is sweet coffee, toasted, nutty, and caramelized malt, with a nutty, toffee malt finish. Soft carbonation, light body and smooth texture, perhaps a bit thin.

Bottle pours a dark dark brown with a decent tan head. The aroma is mild, mostly coffee. The taste is very very strong with the coffee, nice and malty.
