COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Less a beer style, more an institution, a Festbier is any beer brewed for a festival, of which the Oktoberfests are merely the highest profile and best known. At 5.5% alcohol ours hits the absolutely typical strength spot on.

Deep gold with a lasting thin white head. Peachy Saison aroma, tart and fruity, earthy notes, dry, fruity and tart finish. Odd, but very quaffable - or it would be if it wasn’t so gassy.

Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, fruity, leather. Flavour is moderate sweet, light light acidic and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, light sour malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120202]

Bottle: hazy pale beer with a short but lasting white head. Malty aroma with notes of caramel, hay and some grass. Taste is medium sweet with quite a bitter finish for the style, grassy notes. Light body for the style. More like a strong pilsner than an Oktoberfest.

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and a bit of minerals. The flavor is sweet with notes of minerals, hay, and a bit of malt, leading to a bitter finish.
