COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Scotch style is generally associated with Edinburgh where ist is said to have originated in the 18th century. Boiled for longer than most Scottish beers it has a wonderful red-meets-brown colour in the glass. The distance from Southern Englands hop gardens meant that like most Scottish beers this is a relatively lightly hopped beer. Scotch ales were definitley not an everyday drink, and were certainly intended to be special occasion beers. We therefore recommend that you reserve this beer for a special occasion, like, say, when you are feeling exceptionally pleased with yourself

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a clear amber with a smallish beige head. Sweet burned caramel in the nose. Solid body, completely dominated by toffee and burned caramel with hardly any balancing hops. But very well made. 020212
