Bottle. Hazy Brown orange pour with thick head. Tea, apple, orange, cinnamon, spice, citrus. A lot of carbonation. Fruity and spicy. Nice holiday beer

Tap. Tulip glass. Nice dark copper color. Alcohol smell. Dark fruit and pretty sour. Sweetness and sour was too much for me. Strong, but not necessarily good.

Deep amber colored beer poured from a tap at Muddy Pig. Deceptive appearance leads one to believe this is going to taste quite delectable. Alas, it does not live up to expectations. Overtly fruity taste with a below average finish. A disappointing attempt but then again the brewery is British.

Keg at the Charing Cross Beer House. Cloudy red-brown with little or no head, not much aroma, some spicy and banana notes plus caramel and a lightly tart tanginess make it reasonably refreshing.

Scopey (12537) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 21, 2012
Keg at the Beer House at Charing Cross. It pours cloudy brown, with no head - a bit like muddy pond-water. The nose is caramel, metal, hay and bacon frazzles. The taste is roasted malt, caramel, banana, chewy malt, hay, elderflower, spice and some weird tanginess, with a long dry finish. Thin-medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit odd - perhaps infected?
