NoiZe (1231), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands Jul 1, 2009 Red, orange colored brew. Mild hoppy aroma. Flavor is also sweet, citric and mild hoppy. Balanced brew, smooth. mgoy (330), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA Jul 1, 2009 Meantime IPA is a great beer. The aroma is sweet and full of sweet hops and malts. The flavor is very sweet with citrus and some corriander / orange background.
This is a very nice drinking ale. dm9831 (1029), Monee, Illinois, USA Jun 30, 2009 hazy orange, respectable off-white head, no lace. nose of caramel with floral notes and the slightest hint of hops. flavor is sweet malt, creamy caramel, tart citric notes, trace of well-hidden alcohol. medium bodied, lingering bitter finish. although it’s got a nice bitter finish, the sweet and caramel were at bit too strong for me. not a terrible beer, just not a favorite. single bottle from binny’s o.p. Hopper (32), San Antonio, Texas, USA Jun 27, 2009 Pours a golden copper color with decent head. The aroma is slightly grassy & in a weird way you can feel the carbonation with your nose. The taste is slightly grassy & slight citrus. The mouthfeel is very spritzy & feels like Alka Seltzer on your tongue- I guess this is do to the bottle conditioning. Overall a smooth beer that seems like it needs to be aged to be something better. curly (412), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jun 25, 2009 Slightly hazy orange and a thin white head on the pour. Faint citrus aroma. Sure this is authentic maybe, but damn these hops are weak. I guess I am just used to the more heavily hopped American IPA’s, not to say that anything is greatly flawed with the beer, it just lacks punch. Very good balance between the hops and caramel malt. Finishes with some roast. SaintMatty (903), Tallinn, Estonia Jun 24, 2009 750ml Bottle (Drink, Tallinn) - Amber in colour. Fairly hoppy aroma with spicy malt featuring along with notes of grapefruit and pepper. Well balanced hoppy and malty taste with grapefruit, spicy malt and hints of tea. Fairly enjoyable. Sparky27 (1381), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jun 20, 2009 Bottle sample at the Draft Magazine PBS Beer Festival. Pours a hazy amber with a thin beige head. The nose is faint citrus and malt. The taste is caramel, sweet citrus and light pine n the finish. Medium mouthfeel. Decent English IPA. unclemike (760), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Jun 17, 2009 Pours a fully clouded orange with a very minimal head. Nose is perfumed and also with hop character. Flavor is very smooth and consistent with hops. There is a definite salty tone. Feel has a lot of bubble and a good liquid feel. Overall this is a good smooth IPA. Nothing showy at all, but more along a traditional line I would say
