COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned. Also available on keg (filtered but not pasteurised).
Meantime are Britain’s only brewers of authentic India Pale Ale. Small batch production allows us to apply the attention to detail and care we require to produce an authentic IPA especially for you. Pound upon pound of Fuggles & Goldings hops are needed to enable us to achieve the dry hopping rates necessary to recreate this great beer style. Enjoy with hot foods and spicy friends, or vice versa.

A treat of an IPA in southern England. Meantime (and Brewdog) are doing their best to help satiate the needs of American ex-pat hop-heads. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy golden orange. Mild aroma of grass and resin. Elegant palate is mildly hoppy, but really well balanced in body and flavor with a green ans pine flavor.

Oct 2007 (from BA): Nicely packaged 750ml bottle, cork and caged with eye catching labels. The beer poured a hazy dark amber with a firm white head. The aroma is all about hops, a lot more hoppy than the usual English IPA style of today. The taste is also very hoppy, again more prominent than the normal IPA’s in the UK. The mouthfeel is fine, the hoppiness does become drier though, as the taste goes. An interesting beer from an interesting brewery, well worth trying.

750ml bottle shared with Anna and FatPhil @Hell Hunt, Tallinn. Hazy dark yellow color. Small white head. Strong strawberry like hops in aroma. Somewhat sweet spicy body, pine, hops. Weird beer in a good way.

Davvero ottima questa IPA inglese qualcosa di travolgente tranne nell’aroma, un tantino insipido!

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains with some light pine hops. Flavor is similar with some grassy hops with cereal and sweet grains.

Grifo. Vaso de Pinta.Saboreada en nov´11. Color dorado y apariencia algo velada. Retrogusto afrutado. Refrescante y de muy agradable asimilación. On-tap. Pint glass. Enjoyed on nov´11. Golden color, chill haze. Off-white, creamy crown. Copious collars & spots. Good retention. Hints of orange & resiny hops to the nose. Sweet malty & hoppy upfront. Mildy malty in the middle followed by smooth astringency. Medium body, medium carbonation. Oily resiny finish. Fruity aftertaste. Refreshing. Nice drinkability.

Pours a cloudy honey color with small head that quickly dissipates that leaves no lacing. Piney hops. Bready and toasted malts. Moderate combination. Chewy palate, slightly oily. Medium bitterness with slight sweetness. Long finish that is medium bitterness. Not super complex hop flavor, but good balance between the hop and malt. I’d drink again.

Smells dreadful, huge disappointment. And then I had to drink 750ml of it. :(

Pours oily, opaque orange with a small white head. Smells yeasty and bready. Taste is... different; mostly bready and yeasty with a touch of bitterness underneath. Medium-bodied with an oily texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Meantime IPA finishes with a touch of bitter funk on the mostly clean aftertaste. Perhaps it was an old bottle, but this was definitely not an IPA.
