25.6 oz bottle. Pours a dense pale orange with 3 cm white head that is slowly diminishing. Aroma of fruit and hops, a hint of something malty. Initial flavor of sour apple and citrus. Ends hoppy and with some fruit flavors. Light to medium body, limited lacing, moderate carbonation, and some alcohol noted, especially with warming. Overall, a very different IPA than I was expecting, very good, kind of champagne like.

This is a veryflavourful, full-bodied, and well-rounded IPA. The hop bitterness is not as storng as some may want, but it has a lot of hop charcter backed up with a great malty-sweet body. Golden and bubbly, it’s slightly hazy, with a huge, creamy off-white head that lasts a very long time, slowly shrinking to a smaller top and good lace. The smell is wonderful, ripe green apples, grapefruit, pine, grapes, and honey, with a hint of herbs. The taste is both sweet and bitter, extremely flavour and complex with appel, honey, pine, citrus, grass, orange, jam, fruit. it has a rich sweetness with alcoholic warmth and a a dryish finish that’s hoppy and spicey.

Hazy orange pour with fluffy head and beautiful lace. This is a nice looking beer! Soapy aroma combined with hops. Thin bodied I have to question the freshness factor. Very malty, with not enough bitterness to balance it out

750ml from Total Wine, North Raleigh. A pour that’s pretty handsome, much like the bottle this beer comes in. Clear and bright golden, with a fairly rich head. Very understated nose, some fruity notes, clean hops. The mouthfeel is a bit thin for such a relatively heavy IPA, not nearly as aggressively hopped as other descriptions suggest, at least to me. More caramel and malt than I’m looking for, though the somewhat dry finish redeems the brew at the end. Decent, but at this price there are several other English IPAs I’ll hit first.

750 corked bottle. Bottle definitely looks awesome, like all the meantime beers. Lovely pour...big soapy white head, hazy orange/rust color, small bubbles. Peppery bitterness on the nose mixes with some sweet malts and oranges. Interesting malt forward flavor, some dough and breadiness, similar to a Belgian style. I’d never have called this an IPA in a blind taste test, but more like an average dubbel.

750 ml bottle from Bevmo. Pours a translucent copper color with a big clumpy off-white head that has good retention and leaves some lacing. The aroma is light with dust, sweet grasses, and sweet malts. The flavor is sweet caramel and sweet musty hops (which are not particularly biter). The mouthfeel is full and a bit greasy. The finish is medium in duration with a lingering saccharine sweetness. Overall: A drinkable ale, but not up to California IPA standards(My personal benchmark). Perhaps I got an older bottle, I’ll have to be on the look-out for a fresh bottle and re-rate.
