So imagine my surprise when a cub scout packed my bag. Which was nice. Hoppy but that often appeals to me and I love pale ale. This is far from the best though but also far from the worst. I say that a lot cos I know F all about beer but I drink it with passion. gary07734 (402), Tyne & Wear, England

Pours deep amber with a decent head and a lot of carbonation.
Taste is powerfull hops and quite bitter. I found the hops a little over powering, not bad but I’m not a huge fan.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2008 Pours a nice cloudy amber with a off white head and some lacing. Aroma is caramel sweet malt, dough and dark fruits. Flavor is very citric, some dough and nice bitterness in the background. Suprisingly thin for an IPA. Lively carbonation. Finishes somewhat abrubt and slightly more bitter than the initial flavor. raphael (412), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 30, 2008 balanced aroma of muted citrus, caramel, cardboard. light amber color, surprisnigly active head. flavors of bitter, lgiht caramel, oak. intersting for a biriths brew to taste like its from the pacific northwest, though not quite, not the freshness, a little shy. bonbright7 (173), Bellport, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 29, 2008 I enjoyed this cloudy brown and orange ale with grilled catfish and string beans. It’s upfront hops flavor was subdued by the gathering of malt in the background, which eventually came through, It reminded me of the Capt. Lawrence Reserve and it was very easy to drink. kidmartinek (979), austin, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 29, 2008 Light copper. Pours with generous carbonation that extends even after the 80% head has thinned down to under and inch. Aroma is sweet, caramelly, doughy, yeasty. Flavor is first sweet, then bitter, and has notes of bitter apple an/or other fermentable sugars. It’s almost like this beer isn’t done in the mash tank yet. Well, if this is a true IPA, then it’s very different from what your used to if you just started drinking American IPAs in the last 6 months. Nov 2007 - May 2008. This is more like an English strong ale that has some fruity chracter, and has been substatially dry-hopped. The mouthfeel is lively and carbonated, and a little thicker than water. The finish is thick, sweet, and full. yespr (12020), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 25, 2008 Århus2008. 75 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a fizzy white head. Light hoppy aroma. Dry hops flavour with a solid bitterness and fruity grape and peach notes. Ends the same way in a nice dry bitterness. aubucs (15), Florida, USA

Beautiful white head and hazy light orange body.
Clean citrusy smell with malt behind it.
Orangey taste with slight hop tart.
Very carbonated, can see it and feel it. Not sure about this- very pricey, but also very different in a good way.
