Well balanced nose, but very light. Crystal clear amber with orange hints. Medium lacy white head. Creamy malt with solid hop bitterness. Slightly harsh bitter and a light alcohol flavor. Dry, bitter finish. A decent IPA - maybe I shouldn’t have cellared this as long. LooseCannon (927), Norfolk, Virginia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2008 A cloudy IPA. Not extremely bitter like the American interpretations. The authentic character is appealing. The first two pours differed greatly from the last one, with the sediment and yeast. Fizzy. Alcohol nicely hidden. If you prefer the imperial IPAs this is a diversion. jefcon (998), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 27, 2008 Pours a scintillating hazy golden orange color. Oranges, apricots, lemon, herbs and dry coffee waft up to the nose. Yeast on the nose and in the bitter greeting to the tongue. Good carbonation, smooth, creamy character. The best flavors are on the finish, where the cakey malts and savory hops finally all mellow in together. Really a great treatment of the IPA. albertane (376), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 27, 2008 This is one of the most enjoyable bottled British India Pale Ales on the market which is true to style. It’s full of citrus flavours with a some grass and a nice boozy kick in the very bitter finish. This goes very well with Asian food or just for sipping of an evening. yalnikim (779), Wellington, New Zealand
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 26, 2008 Tasted 25/04/2008. 750ml bottle from Rumble’s, Wellington. Pale gold with a white head that fades and laces slightly. Huge floral nose, rose water, with a hint of spice, autumn fruit and earthiness. Very slight banana ester underneath, which appeals to me. A little minerality. Sweet pale malt up front, viscous, soflty carbonated. Very big oily hop flavour - more floral notes, with a little dose of stonefruit. Long hoppy finish, with the oily character, and a lick of spice, quite prominent for 30 seconds, perhaps longer, after I’ve swallowed. Sneaky alcohol begins creeping up on you after a few sips. A little sweeter than I would have liked but an excellent beer. Great hops! Lothore (276), California, USA

A- Pours a clear, golden yellow with a massive, fizzy head which leaves tons of lacing as it slowly fades.
S- Smell is very grapefruity, yeasty with some barnyard funk, almost saisonesque.
T- Tastes is soft and citrusey up front which leads to a bitterness which creeps into the mouth more and more until its majestic peak.
M- Medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation.
D- Very drinkable/sessionable. This one definitely hit me by suprise. I might have to seek it out again.
