RichardGretton (3131), Leicestershire, England Feb 19, 2008 Bottle. Golden beer with a strong foamy head. The aroma is well hopped and dry, and the flavour is very bitter and well hopped. Overall a nice deeply hopped and dry beer. BigMilly8 (374), Holiday, Florida, USA Feb 9, 2008 From bottle : Pours cloudy orange, with a good amount of carbonation and a finger and a half of white foamy head. After a few minutes the head starts to fade, slowly. Very strong aroma of hops, citrus hops, and a hint of cider it would seem, with some spices as well. When i first take a sip, there is alot of carbonation in here. Taste is very ipa, lots of hops, and a fair amount of bitterness on the end, and also leaves a bitter hop aftertaste. Thicker in body then most other ipa’s i think, with a smooth creamy feel in the mouth, tell the end, when it even feels a bit bitter. Not at all a bad example of a ipa, just not my favorite one. BückDich (4793), McCall, Idaho, USA Feb 7, 2008 Bottle (Gusher): Pours a hazy orange color with huge bubbly head. The nose is woody with a spicy orange and grassy noble hop forward character. The flavor is strong with carbonation with a light caramel and malt note. Subtle hop flavors, more about the twang than the thang. Not worth the price IMO. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 7, 2008 75 cl. bottle. Poured a cloudy amber with a substantial bumpy off-white head. Floral, lemony and grassy hop aromas, almost like a potpourri. Flavor marked by leafy and citrusy hops, light caramel malts and with a pungent earthy and herbal character on the finish. Way more hop character then I was expecting, which was pretty cool. Stew41 (1042), Caulfield, Australia Feb 5, 2008 Soft, fruity nose, very aromatic with confectionary characters. Soft flavours to taste, fruity early before a rapaid sharpening-up from a bitter and hoppy finish. Some thickening on the finish with aniseed, possibly from the ABV. Amazingly well packaged. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 4, 2008 Pours a fully clouded orange with a very minimal head. Nose is perfumed and also with hop character. Flavor is very smooth and consistent with hops. There is a definite salty tone. Feel has a lot of bubble and a good liquid feel. Overall this is a good smooth IPA. Nothing showy at all, but more along a traditional line I would say. Nice to try. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Feb 3, 2008 750ml bottle-pours a foamy light tan head and hazy gold color. Aroma is yeast, medium malt-caramel, secondary spicy/earthy hops. Taste is yeast medium malt-caramel, spicy/earthy/citrus-lemon light hops. Good English IPA. Medium body. OK carbonation.
jgb9348 (2492), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Jan 15, 2008 Nice bright coloured orange/bronze body with a thinnish tan head on top. Aroma of fresh hops, citrus, cardboard and a pungent alcohol scent. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong spicey hoppiness with a pungent bitterness and a mouth-drying maltiness. Aftertaste shows the bitterness of the hops, but some bright and fruity characteristics as well. Overall, a good IPA - no bad characteristics at all...great to try! I sampled this 75 cL bottle with Jon[r888710] purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 10-October-2005.
