Lots of floaters. Aromas of stronger yeast and fruity. Tastes of yeast (not as strong as the aroma), fruits and citrus. Lighter bitterness factor. nimbleprop (844), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 20, 2007 Poured a translucent orange with a lacing white head. First thing I noticed though was a smell of sour grapes coming from the bottle. I thought the cork had dried, let some air in and the beer had spoiled. The aroma after the pour was better, definitely fuggles, but the sour grape smell lingered. Thankfully, it did not tranfer to the flavor which was heavy on the alcohol, slightly malty and not nearly as bitter as I expected. The finish was slightly spicy and not at all astringent. Not really sure what to make of it. Nice beer, but a good IPA? Not so sure. Jmichael (633), Asheville, North Carolina, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Apr 17, 2007 Uncaged and uncorked, this poured with a nice sexy yellow-orange and a poofy, survivable foamy head. The aroma is kinda yeasty, reminiscent of a Belgian golden more than an IPA; the flavor on the other hand is heartily fruity, although there’s a big warm undertow, too. This is an interesting interpretation of style, fitting neither the American nor British stereotypes. Again, I’d almost guess this as a Belgian ale in a blind taste, except for the sturdy furity (orange blossom, mostly) body. Quite enjoyable, quite different. (#2800, 4/17/2007) GeoffT (12), Scotland
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 17, 2007 Fairly good goldings/fuggle aroma, orange hue, balanced flavour. Hides alcohol well. Could do with more bitterness. Phil (100), Kent, England

Easy Drinking, nice sized vessel, and nice styish presentation - very brave considering the british market place. Anyhow, the brew! Nice quality nose, that goldings/fuggles classic combo comes through, balanced rather than pine-ol IIPA stylee - no clear descriptive fruits but just enough interesting green and earth notes. Nice bitter/sweet balance on the sup - good bitterness spread, whilst not overly astringent. Hazed/clear to the eye... luverly colour/color. Moderate fizz, rather than out of control spume! A fantastic drop! I hate to think how much I have drunk of this stuff! And FYI, great with a ruby! golubj (1286), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 10, 2007 Bottle. Aroma of apples, orange rhind, and some yeast. Mouthfeel is a little watery, but that is good when the weather is warm. Flavor is mostly of fruity hops with lingering bitterness. Maria (6167), Thisted, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 7, 2007 75 cl. bottle. Beautiful, slightly hazy IPA with a nice head. The aroma has a lot of hops, fruit, tangerine and melon. The flavour has a nice bitterness, notes of fruit, caramel and a brief sweetness. The finish is nice and long.
