hughie (3018), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Jan 28, 2007 Orange-amber, slightly hazy, with a large white head. Pronounced citric hop aroma. Full malt and spicy hop taste. Medium to strong bitterness. First rate ale. AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA Jan 25, 2007 Pours amber, very hazy, with thin head. Big aroma with lots of malt and some hops that add an aroma of pine. Flavor is dry, malty, with a great bitter finish leaves the mouth wanting more. Nice chewy body; yet somehow still refreshing. Complex. Very well balanced. Solid IPA. cab (862), Denmark Jan 23, 2007 Bottle. It has what it takes 2 be a good IPA, hay, floral, golden, clear, a minimal head, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, average carbonation, bitter, no floral aroma and that is a bit sad for the beer. beermouth (434), Langeskov, Denmark Jan 17, 2007 Updated: Jan 24, 2007Copper/brownish with a offwhite head that last thoughout beer. Citrus, hay, malt, hops and slight spice. Very decent brew. DrBeer (777), Danderyd Stockholm, Sweden Jan 15, 2007 Hazy pale brown-yellow beer.
Acidic aroma with notes of malt, citrus and alcohol.
Gooseberry flavour with dry growing bitterness. Dorwart (1807), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA Jan 10, 2007 Light wispy head with loads of floaters. Light carbonation. Nice hoppy aroma with lemon, citrus and a bit of flowers. Medium amber orange in color. Crisp and clean palate. Light malts with more hops. Light to medium bodied. Clean hoppy finish with a light alcohol presence. Pretty decent but nothing special. thornecb (1737), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Jan 8, 2007 Pours bright amber into a shaker. Fluffy off-white micro head subsides in chunks. Fruity apple and pear aromas. Sharp and well-balanced with a lasting bitter hop finish. KnutAlbert (3111), Oslo, Norway Jan 8, 2007 A nice pop as I pull the champagne cork, lovely smell of hops. Pours a cloudy amber with a rather large head. A splendid beer, full of fresh citus fruit, lime with a hint of apricot. Soft and smooth. The label says is has some wheat malt, which explains the head. Fuggles and Goldings hops give more fruitiness than bitterness, but it is bitter enough to give a refreshing twist in the tail. A little warming is the only sign of the alcohol.
I like the "unfiltered and not primed with new yeast" ideology, too!
My only objection iws the weight of the bottle, this is a bit much to drag around!
