Meantime are Britain's only brewers of authentic India Pale Ale. Small batch production allows us to apply the attention to detail and care we require to produce an authentic IPA especially for you. Pound upon pound of Fuggles & Goldings hops are needed to enable us to achieve the dry hopping rates necessary to recreate this great beer style. Enjoy with hot foods and spicy friends, or vice versa.

Big offwhite head. Deep orange body full of small yeast particles. Subtle, sweetish light peppery metal hop aroma with spice notes with notes of pine needles and stale hops. Sourish intense bitter taste of resin, pine needles, and citrus with dry, citric finish. Faintly medicinal tinge. Slightly oily mouthfeel. Excellent, if challenging. (0.75l bottle.)

Hazy orange gold brown with a loose big, but disappearing, head. The nose is huge with hops. I’m overcome with juicy floral, fruity, and slightly herbal hops. Drawn together with sweet malt. This is a nice beer in the nose. The palate is acceptable. Not too thin, not too watery, not to bubbly, but a bit soapy. The flavors are bland relative to the robust nose. The hops become, again, more soapy. Big orange and tangerine in the hops. The sweetness is there, but not nearly so rounded as it seems it should be for the style. Bitter finish, and a bitterer citrus aftertaste. As it warms, grapes became more detectable. Not a bad beer, but it seemed so promising at first!

Orangish color with a large and dense white head. The aroma is malty with sugary sweetness and candy, light fruits, and floral hops. The flavor is similar but maybe with a bit of spice and less hops than expected. Its very drinkable.

in bottle. A nice glowing amber color. Floral aroma includes grapefruit and perhaps strawberries, with out the acidity of some citrus hops. Sturdy malt backdrop provides balance to the strong floral and fruity hops present throughout this beer.

In the 750 mL bottle from Beertopia. Well, I paid $8.79 for my bottle, Pigfoot. This pours cloudy light amber with a bountiful ivory head. The aromas are rich in sweet grapes, banana and juicy fruit gum. Citrus secondary. Tart hoppiness to the up front flavor, but subsides rather quickly to a mild bitter drying finish. Fruitiness remains throughout. Medium body, definitely not syrupy thick at all. Outstanding lacing.

Hazed, dusky orange appearance, big and boisterous, creamy white foam. Out-loud nose: wild, funky, sour, citric, big orange with a twist of lemon...zesty! Huge hops load the palate, band on board, and slideaway with a satisfying tingle. Same flavors as found in the nose, primarily the big, slick, raw, naked lemon zing...some spicy extra kick, as well. Drink again and a new tingle ensues, then fades again. Nice, tasty, delicious, and easy drinking. Medium bodied, long, lightly citric/spicy finish...moderate enough to ease in the drinking, quite mellow. And I’ve got me a whole 750 ml bottle to myself, glad it’s not too strong, this one. I can feel the nicely turned effect of the dry-hopping in this, but these particular hops don’t really flip my wig anymore. Fuggles and Goldings don’t really turn my tastebuds, but that’s nothing against them, that’s just my preference. A nice ale, like I said...but I could have spent the $7.99 on much more beer per volume. Oh, well, ya lives, ya learns...

750 mL bottle. Pours hazy orange with fizzy spare white head, spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (meal, toasted grain), heavy hops (herbs, citrus), average yeast (sweat, fresh leather) with notes of grapefruit and honey. Light sweetness, moderate acidity and heavy bitterness, minerals, hoppy toasted malt flavor and sweaty yeast. Medium bodied, fizzy carbonation, sticky texture.

Hazy gold pour with fresh flowery hop aroma and smooth but grassy and bitter flavor, some citrus but muted. Easy to drink, definitely British in its restraint but with a confident bitter finish.
