Crisp orange-citrus-pine floral, earthy, spicey hop forward aroma with some honeylike malty sweetness. Clear copper coloured body is topped by a decent and lasting, off white head thats ticks to the sides of the glass. Orange-citrus-floral-pine hop flavours and moderate bitterness couple with underlying supporting biscuit and caramel malt base. Medium body with lively, lightly prickly carbonation that awakens the tastebuds. Sampled on tap at the brewpub in Glasgow (May-06).

Floral, earthy hop aroma. Clear pale copper coloured body with low, white, fully diminishing head. Floral and earthy hops are strong in the flavour also with some dough-like yeastiness. Medium light body with moderate carbonation. Bottle sampled at RBESG 2005.

750ml bottle. Pours cloudy amber with a thick white head. Very rich aroma, lots of malt and hops. Delivers on bitterness but not like the Double IPAs I have been drinking.Very creamy mouthfeel that made this wonderful. Hoppy finish, a bit dry but not badly so. Must have again.

Corked 750; the cork releases with barely a whisper to reveal a bit of sticky sediment around the bottle rim.

Pours a cloudy orange amber with a nice white head. The aroma is highly perfumed, with dust and hay and a decided malt richness. The flavor is lovely - very well balanced, with again those nice perfumy hops at sub-West-coast intensities allowing one to really enjoy the caramel malts and some yeasty notes that add a musty cellar complexity along with a hint of sourness. Plenty of orange in the flavor as well; these soft citrus tones (so different from some of the more aggressive c-hops) dominate the finish which is smoothed out by the sweet malts much as honey can smooth out a cup of tea. The mouthfeel too is smooth, very gently carbonated and without a hint of heat (I thought this was 5.5,% not 7.5%) or the sort of palate-killing abrassiveness of some big c-hop IPAs.

This is a very nice IPA, all the more different what for its divergence (and note that this is not a euphemism for "watering-down", but rather a genuine complement) from the typical west coast IPAs we get here. I’ll definitely be picking up a bottle of this again from time to time.

Hazy orange. Rather malty and dryish. Sweet with notes of marcipan. Fine bitter finish.

750 mll bottle, from Liquid Solutions - thanks Matt! Pours cloudy amber color with lots of floaties and a small beige head. Aroma is toasy, almost roasty, in the malts, lots of citrus hops - especially orange - with dusty notes. Nice interesting English IPA style, with toasty malts, floral hops and lots of citrus, bringing it a bit more in the west coast style. Medium body and very gentle carbonation. Pleasant and enjoyable.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc, mds & tupalev -- courtesy of the Michigan RB crew. Pours a hazy orange with a small diminishing white head. Aroma is sweet and hoppy with some spices and lots of fruit -- quite nice. Nice hoppy flavour with caramel malt, some fruit, spices, a little alcohol and an average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Good stuff, I really like this.
