COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned. Also available on keg (filtered but not pasteurised).
Meantime are Britain’s only brewers of authentic India Pale Ale. Small batch production allows us to apply the attention to detail and care we require to produce an authentic IPA especially for you. Pound upon pound of Fuggles & Goldings hops are needed to enable us to achieve the dry hopping rates necessary to recreate this great beer style. Enjoy with hot foods and spicy friends, or vice versa.

First off, I love the description of this beer because it is so true. I can’t think of another British IPA that holds a candle to a modern, American version of the style. It seems to be a lost art across the pond. Anyway, it is pretty cloudy and light amber in color. Medium to full bodied with a strong malt backbone for an IPA. Fairly bitter and dry, with spruce and resin hops and a hint of citrus. Impressive.

750ml bottle. Orangey amber colour, frothy off-white foam head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of malt, toffee, pine hops. Taste is malty, caramel, toffee, yeast, orange citrus and pine hoppy bitterness. Smoothish mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry malty earthy bitter finish. Quite drinkable IPA.

Hazy amber to orange. Lots of frothy white head. Warming. Heavy body. Low, but stingy carbonation. Quite malty nose. Malt, hop, grass, some pine flavour. A bit to malty in my opionion. Bitter and sweet.

Earthy bitterness with an abrupt finish, which is nicely balanced by a maltiness in this. I have no idea if it travelled well or not it’s fairly decent as is. You can pick the orange citrus and not so much the hope resins. It’s a bit good.

Slightly cloudy golden amber body underneath a big, pillowy white head that appears to be leaving good lace behind. A noseful of aroma indicates rich Seville orange peel and herbaceous green pine cones. A taste reveals that bright, tangy orange citrus and piquant bitterness. Underneath is elegant maltiness that provides a sweetish accompaniment to the hoppiness. Contrary to the expectation of my learned offsider, Ned, this has travelled well and I am not in the least bit disappointed. Quite the contrary, I am extremely satisfied.
