A very smooth and easy drinking beer but not much complexity. The flavor is somewhat malty and less bitter than most IPAs Ive had. Thats all I got today. shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 20, 2006 Orange dark pour with beautiful white lace creamy head. Aroma is mild and more earthy than an American IPA. The flavor is earthy hops with a nice streak of malt backbone. Different but nice. michael-pollack (2650), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 20, 2006 750ml: Smelled Hoppy and fruity, with hints of toffee malt and also a little corriander. Poured amber color. Clear, but full of floating particles. Creamy, off-white head lasted a while. Good lacing. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Malty, with notes of corriander, East Kent Goldings, and caramel. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Long sweet piney finish. Overall, a good English-style IPA, but not very bitter. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 17, 2006 Updated: Sep 19, 2006[keg at West Brewing Company] Aroma is extremely hoppy grapefruit, citric, pine, orange peel. Full bodied, but I found the carbonation a touch on the aggressive, artificial side, not a big complaint though. Finish is dry and bitter. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 16, 2006 I was actually quite impressed with this and beings I am not usually a fan of British style IPAs, this has a great floral fragrant hop aroma, flavor is quite bitter with a hop level that is demanding on the palate, could use more of a malt characer, lightly biscuity, with some sweet honey notes but tends to be overly bittersweet at times. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2006 Draught at West, by looking at other ratings draught is quite rare. Aroma is uber hoppy, citrus, grassy lightl peppery also. Taste is an explosion of hops. similar to the taste but very dry and bittering, alcohol is present if you serch for long enough but is hiden well by the hops. Long long finish. thewolf (5725), Kolding, Denmark
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 15, 2006 Great amber/orange colour with quite a muddy texture. Slight foamy head that stays. Aroma is strawberries and hops, quite wonderful. Taste is full at first, then descent to a hoppy bitterness that is no where near sour. Well rounded and fresh. Important to serve at at least 8 degrees C. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 12, 2006 Pours out a cloudy orange. Smell’s almost like a barley wine with hints of prunes and a little bit of hop. Tastes more like a cheap barley wine at first , then the citrus and hops kick in with a sweet bitterness at the end. ok IPA but one that I would not drink again.
