Aroma: A nice floral hop aroma, a bit of caramel in there as well, and some light fruit
Appearance: Clear orange color, light red hue to it, decent amount of white head, and some pretty hefty lacing as well
Flavor: A nice hoppy flavor
Palate: Sticky and dry beer, good mouthfeel, pretty full body as well
Overall Impression:
I thought this one was pretty good, a nice enjoyable beer, not too much else to add here... cgreb (173), Marburg, Germany Jun 6, 2009 bottle (asheft) - hazy orange beer with a white head. Aroma of flowers. Flavour has sweet maltiness, hops and a pleasant bitterness. GriffinAvenue (395), Winchester, Massachusetts, USA Jun 3, 2009 Bottle. Golden coloring. 1 1/2" head. Hazy, cloudy, yeasty, wheaty, grainy, any more similar adjectives to add? Dry. Not bitter. I like it in spots but generally speaking am not an admirer here. Eh. caesar (3020), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands May 27, 2009 Bottled. Hazy redbrown color, short head. Soft fruity nose. Bit fruity taste. Typical english IPA. Decently balanced, but it lacks explicit hoppy notes for me. skortila (2875), Bunnik, Netherlands May 26, 2009 Bottled. Aroma has butter, hops, citron. Hazy, orange coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is a bit hopbitter, has some sweetness. Some carbonation. Not bad, but boring. diabel (1366), Aarschot, Belgium May 20, 2009 Bottle Clear to hazy, amber body. White, creamy head. Spare lace. Complex aroma of orange, pine, citrus, lemon, flowers, ... Very well balanced, great aroma. Moderately (hoppy) bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Nice, balance of the flavour is also quite nice, but not as good as the aroma. asheft (1374), Marburg, Germany May 18, 2009 [bottle]
Aroma = potent floral hops that are not really citrusy with plenty of spicy melanoidins and caramel. Appearance = almost clear orange-amber with a nearly white cover that drops to a ring and wisps. Blast of British hops that is even a bit salty in front of lemony caramel that chock full of spicy melanoidins. The bitterness is a bit strong, but the beer’s bigness balances it. Slightly bitter finish, moderate carbonation, medium body. Allen (1285), Switzerland May 11, 2009 Bottled 75cl. It pours a pale light amber beer with a small head. A huge amount of hops, coconut, cinnamon, banana and coriander in the nose. Grassy. Very sweet taste. Low bitterness. A lot of crystalline sugar showing up. Notes of blackcurrant, coconut, crackers and orange. Nice lacework. Faintly metallic. Residual sugars in the finish. Atypical and dissapointing.
