KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA Feb 2, 2009 I wasn’t really a fan.
Maye I’ve been having too many westo coast, american, hop-bomb IPAs. But this one seemed almost like a tripel to me. It was so sweet and syrupy that I doubted it was even an IPA.
Not a bad beer, just not what i thought it’d be. At all. gam (1059), brisbane, Australia Jan 31, 2009 Large frothy head medium carbonation in a clear gold to orange coloured ale aroma fruity hop and malt floral note taste bitter yeasty citric cumquart like or citric peel very hoppy sweetness also really nice stonefruit morishing orange flavour malty sweetness good bitter sweet fruit finish hoppy nice stuff. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Jan 26, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Never had a IPA outta a corked 750ml. Not much nose, kinda some hay and some poop. Flavor has some hop bitterness and more poop. Not too hard to drink, but not very satisfying or good. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Jan 24, 2009 Share with barrios courtesy of mmmckay. Nose of honey, vanilla, and a hint of alcohol heat. clear light gold pour with offwhite head. Pine, light earthy hop is well balanced and easy drinking. All the hop flavor is very muddled and english in style. Very drinkable. mjs (1445), Helsinki, Finland Jan 17, 2009 (Bottle, BBE 020310, on 2009-01-17) Pale amber. Hazy. Huge, quite beatufiul looking dense white head. Grassy and dry nose. Full bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Hops, grass, hint of raisin, bitterness, light fruitiness and malts intaste, Bitter and malty aftertaste. Little bit musty beer. Probably I haven’t stored it in optimal conditions. Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jan 12, 2009 Updated: Jun 28, 2009Bottle with Butters. Pours an off-white head and amber color. Smells of apricot, sweet malt, and honey. Tastes of apricot, pineapple and caramel. Not very bitter. Good body with a big mouth fizz. Sweet, fruity finish. LilBeerDoctor (1480), East Setauket, New York, USA Jan 10, 2009 On tap at Tria. Pours a yellow-orange with a thick white head. Aroma of mild citrus and grassy hops. Flavor of sweet malt, not really hoppy at all. Chill, ok, with a smooth palate. Decent, but not what I was expecting for an IPA.
