Meantime are Britain’s only brewers of authentic India Pale Ale. Small batch production allows us to apply the attention to detail and care we require to produce an authentic IPA especially for you. Pound upon pound of Fuggles & Goldings hops are needed to enable us to achieve the dry hopping rates necessary to recreate this great beer style. Bottle @ home from Tesco, London - UK. Color: clear golden blond beer with medium carbonation and small white foam. Smell: sweet grassy and caramel notes. Resin notes. Taste: light body, grassy and resin taste. Small floral notes. Medium carbonation on mouth. Bad attenuation and oxydation taste... Aftertaste: resin and grassy. Well on some aspect the beer is great but some other are really bad and sink the rate for this beer. I need to retry it. Maybe a bad batch.

750ml bottle from Waitrose. Poured gold, clearish, quite a lot of carbonation to begin with. Lots of marmalade in taste and aroma, sweet malt backbone, fresh at the start but becomes sticky and medicinal towards the end. Really enjoyed this, proper old school British IPA. I’d buy again.

Balanced between its caramel malt and floral citrus flavors, leaning heavier on the malt, showing a bit of medicinal note as it lingers with moderate hops. Fine up front but doesn’t finish as well, although maybe I’m just used to the US west coast hop profiles, this is decidedly bitter and astringent as it lingers.

Bottle 330ml. Amber haze with a medium thickness white head. Initial aroma is malty but the hops soon arrive in style. Taste has more malty notes with some sweetness ending with more dominating hops. No citrus or fruit (as given by the hops included) but plenty of caramelised sugar. Not really how modern IPAs are defined, but a very nice beer.

Pours cloudy amber. Aroma is hoppy, malts balancing. Not sure on the hop aroma, a little weird. Not sure if i like this, hoppy, a little soapy.
