| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 28, 2008 Golden-beige colour. Thick head can’t quite get rocky but it’s close. Richly hopped - herbaceous, dusty, almost saison-like. Bitter - shitloads of low-alpha hops, with a yeasty, minerally character again akin to a saison. Dry, slightly herbal finish with lingering hops. An esoteric take on the style, undoubtedly faithful to at least one era of IPA’s history. I love the rusticity. fiulijn (7520), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 12, 2006 75cl bottle from Sainsbury. Copper colour with bubly off white head. Goldings/Fuggles strong hop aroma. Big harsh hop flavours. Very much in the style of an American big intense hoppy IPA. Not unpleasant, very in your face grapefruit hop. Herby/peppery. There is some biscuity malt to underpin the hops. TBone (6868), Pori, Finland

A bit hazy golden, not much head. Yeasty, a bit musty with hoppy nose. Crisp hoppyness, which carries long in aftertaste. 5/2/7/4/15 3.3

The aroma has a lot of hops, fruit, tangerine and melon. The flavour has a nice bitterness, notes of fruit, caramel and a brief sweetness. The finish is nice and long.
