| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 13, 2008 This was a very interesting IPA. Flavors were apparent but slightly underbalanced for an IPA. The hoppiness was there, but not at the level it should be for a strong IPA. This was smooth and very good, but not excellent. ruggedman (626), Portland, Maine, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 16, 2008 Mouthfeel is this IPA’s best trait. It’s super smooth feeling and nice to drink. The hops are nice citrus flavors and aromas of fruits. One of my favorite IPAs from across the pond. CamdenD (625), Madrid, Spain
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 21, 2008 Unfortunate sweet nose and tongue feel. Too bad, as I was excited to see an authentic take on an IPA. Just don’t like it, I suppose, perhaps a bad bottle even, as this was truly not the beer that is described here. One-sided and sticky-sweet. sfhodense (616), Odense NØ, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Bottle. Cloudy amber beer, with beige head. Aroma is mild hoppy and malt. Flavour is mild hoppy. Nice beginners IPA. atpayne (615), Zionsville, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 6, 2005 Pours a bit cloudy, copper orange with nice sized white head. Aroma is first malty(sweet carmel) and then the expected hop aroma, although not the American hops that I’m generally used to in an IPA, because this is a British IPA. The flavor is nice and smooth, and there is really more malt at first rounded out by a balancing hop kick at the end. It’s not a bowl you over, in your face IPA like many American offerings, but a nice ballanced representation of the style. Nice sweetness and plesant European hop flavors that linger slightly. An apple cider vinegar fruit flavor comes later. It’s nice to ge away from the familiar once in a while and look at another take on a classic style from those who originated it. jonno (609), Brisbane, Australia
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 5, 2009 Not quite what I expected but not terrible either. Quite full bodied, obviously, at 7.5% but the hoppiness was secondary to the biscuity maltiness. Would maybe drink again, but won’t be seeking this out. tlind2 (605), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 19, 2008 750 ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, coppery color, big head. Aroma of sweet malts and dark wood. The taste is pretty sweet, but finishes up with lingering bitterness. Pleasantly different from it’s aggressively hopped American counterparts. This was probably the first english IPA that I’ve really enjoyed. hezron (604), Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA

Very balanced, caramel, hint of charcoal, nice pine hop flavor with little to no bitterness. Very cloudy yellow in color and light body. I’m so used to American IPA’s...this is different.
