| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 18, 2005 Bottled. Golden coloured. Hoppy aroma and flavour with lots of peaches. Good balance between the sweetness and the bitterness. Reminds me of some of the less extreme Amercians. MartinT (5080), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2009 My Bottom Line:
Spicy, herbal hops get overpowered by the caramel malts in this pillowy and sweet English IPA.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A frothy head of beige foam crowns the cloudy orange.
-Even though the wooden hop bitterness is pleasant, I didn’t find the hop profile all that bright.
-Malts also contribute bread connotations.
-The body is a little too big for sessioning, imho.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 10, 2009 Small bottle. Pours copper and hazy with a white head. Smells of hay, wildflowers, perfumy. Tastes citrussy and grassy with an earthy finish. Well balanced and enjoyable. ¾ (5012), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Mild cheese and perfume hop nose, with some soft pillowy yeast. Sharp flavor, sharp and a bit astringent leafy celery hops and all... not terrible, but I thinik there’s some soft of sharpness and abrasiveness that’s a bit difficult to get into. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2005 Updated: Mar 5, 2006Slightly hazed orange body with a head that goes from big & bubbly to thick and creamy. Nice lacing. The aroma is a heady floral & pine hoppiness atop a sweet caramel base. The hop bitterness takes over in the flavor, with a touch of tart orange added to the light malts. Nice prolonged bitter finish. Fairly aggressive for an English IPA, and quite satisfying to this hophead.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 20, 2005 Near cloudy amber liquid with a moderate off white head. A thick looking pour. Mild citrus and floral hops combine in the aromas with mild floor malt and dough. Sweeter malt coupled with a balancing citric hops. Flavors a full, matched and appropriate. No, this is not a match for the modernized Americanized IPA. But I’m sure it is better than the stuff that was shipped to India in years gone by. Pleasant and drinkable. You don’t have be made aware of the hops at all time, just when things may seem to get to thick or sweet. Does it lack complexity, perhaps. does it have IBU aromas chart busting stats, no. Does it have tons of alcohol, not really. What we have here is another well brewed beer, thats made to style and is quite drinkable. I’d sail with this anytime. jbrus (4916), Delft, Netherlands
