Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned. Alsos available on keg.
Meantime are Britain's only brewers of authentic India Pale Ale. Small batch production allows us to apply the attention to detail and care we require to produce an authentic IPA especially for you. Pound upon pound of Fuggles & Goldings hops are needed to enable us to achieve the dry hopping rates necessary to recreate this great beer style. Enjoy with hot foods and spicy friends, or vice versa.

750ml bottle. Lightly fruity, citric and sweet aroma, some very light suggestions of yeast detected, overall slight in effect but fairly well-balanced, perhaps some light cedary notes as it warms a bit. Hazy medium golden color with a lasting, foamy, uneven head. Flavor profile begins with a touch of spicy bitterness, becoming sweeter and fruitier throughout, touches of bready dough and toast with honey combined with some herbal lemon tones, finishing on a semi-dry note, showing a refreshing quality, again nicely balanced and with a burst of juicy, leafy hop flavor right at the end and lingering orange character. Creamy and smooth on the palate, some pleasant crispness late, and with a medium body. Really pretty nice.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (flowers, grapefruit, apricot), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Clean bitterness and well balanced. Not a very assertive aroma, but what’s there is nice.

I don’t think many English brewers actually brew IPA’s as much as ESB’s & Bitters these days. Even though IPA’s have been embraced by USA brewers its refreshing to see a UK brewer producing one. Meantime IPA was a mellower IPA than its US cousins, with cutrus aroma and mild bittering.

Pleasant auroma and beautiful pour. Sweet and fruity, with a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Oh well, it comes in a nice bottle that will work perfect for the homemade wine.

750ml: Smelled Hoppy and fruity, with hints of toffee malt and also a little corriander. Poured amber color. Clear, but full of floating particles. Creamy, off-white head lasted a while. Good lacing. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Malty, with notes of corriander, East Kent Goldings, and caramel. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Long sweet piney finish. Overall, a good English-style IPA, but not very bitter.

Cloudy orange, with an nice sized white head. Crisp, citrusy aroma. Surprisingly sweet at first, with notes of toffee and maybe some molasses. Crisp hop bite. Unique, but also unmistakelably British. Sampled at Noogfest2.

Poured a hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Malty aroma with light English style hops. Caramel flavor with thin hops from middle to finish. Bitterness is light on the finish..
