COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle and keg - force carbonated. Is available cask conditioned. Cold fermented and lagered.
Ingredients: Pale ale malt, pale crystal malt, and Munich malt: Cascade, Cluster, and Goldings hops.

One hundred and fifty years ago the new bitter beer style, Pale Ale, was so popular that brewers had to import Californian hops to meet demand. Meantime London Pale Ale continues that tradition by combining lots of American Cascade and Centennial hops to give it a complex citrus aroma and buckets full of local Kentish Goldings to provide the bitterness that makes the style so refreshing. Together they conspire to assail the nose with a complex, heady mix of spearmint, grass and ‘hop sack’ aromas, fruity citrus flavours and a bitter finish that makes pale ale drinking a truly rewarding experience.

A somewhat, cloudy, yet still transparant beer with a gold-like of honey-like color. The foam is a little darkish yellow. A typical, apple-sour aroma with a small touch of mango. It taste full-bitter, but the fruit is still quite present. The aftertaste is nice and bitter.

Draft, served far too cold and recorded from notes. Taste is soapy, light floral, slight medicine, chalky middle, then gently bitter. Bought as the best of a bad bunch waiting for a friend, it’s a middling beer from the ubiquitous kings of the average.
