COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle and keg - force carbonated. Is available cask conditioned. Cold fermented and lagered.
Ingredients: Pale ale malt, pale crystal malt, and Munich malt: Cascade, Cluster, and Goldings hops.

One hundred and fifty years ago the new bitter beer style, Pale Ale, was so popular that brewers had to import Californian hops to meet demand. Meantime London Pale Ale continues that tradition by combining lots of American Cascade and Centennial hops to give it a complex citrus aroma and buckets full of local Kentish Goldings to provide the bitterness that makes the style so refreshing. Together they conspire to assail the nose with a complex, heady mix of spearmint, grass and ‘hop sack’ aromas, fruity citrus flavours and a bitter finish that makes pale ale drinking a truly rewarding experience.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy copper with a thin off-white head. Decent if unremarkable aroma with hops and a little yeast. Flavours of citrus, perhaps some peach. A good amount of hops and enough bitterness to counterbalance the real sweetness this beer has. A good pale ale, pretty well balanced.

33cl bottle served cold. Pours yellow with a fair head and good carbonation. A bit of restrained fruit detectable on the nose but not much else. Crisp, slightly fruity slightly bitter taste - very refreshing!

Served in a tulip from a 330ml bottle. Pours clear orange-amber colour with a medium off-white head. Aroma is malts, orange peel, grass with peppery and nutty notes. Taste is a very refreshing mixture of bitter orange, grass and malts with a clear sharp bitter aftertaste. Medium body with medium carbonation. Not the best brew by Meantime but still very nice and refreshing for a hot summer day!

Aroma of hops, decent head on yellow, flavour of okay hops. Medium finish. Just adequate, nothing exciting here but probably a nice unintrusive beer for those who like those kinds of things.

Flasa. Tmavsia zlata farba, biela pena. Vona ovocna, kvetinova, jemne med. Chut prazdnejsia, jemne ovocna. Pozadie horke, ale velmi jemne. Viac nasytene, ostrejsie na jazyku.

Keg @ Abel Heywood, Manchester. Golden coloured with a thin head and a carbonation. Has a lager malt aroma, but a pale ale taste with a nice mildly fruity dryness to it

Clear amber beer. Light bitter scent. Lively on the tongue and crisp when cool but there’s really not much going on. A splash of citrus, some hop, maybe a hint of caramel but that’s about the sum of it. Disappointing.

Clear deep gold color with weak off white foam. Aromas are lightly hoppy, floral and citrusy though quite weak. Palate, medium body, thin light texture, leaving weak metallic finish. Taste is watery? maybe remotely bitter, and very lightly hoppy, though has metallic tones to it. Overall, second beer from meantime, both look nice and promising but end up tasting like cheaper lager with metallic taste, quite watery and weak, and leaves me sad once more.

From bottle. Thin head and caramel color. Not as hoppy as I would expect from a pale ale. Relatively smooth.

*Keg-sample at Heathrow Terminal 5. Light and sessionable brew. Not too deep, floral with a crisp body. Nice and round, not too deep, but solid made!

Tastes like Robinsons they must have nicked the house yeast. Golden thin head hops vomit butter very standard fare.
