COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle and keg - force carbonated. Is available cask conditioned. Cold fermented and lagered.
Ingredients: Pale ale malt, pale crystal malt, and Munich malt: Cascade, Cluster, and Goldings hops.

One hundred and fifty years ago the new bitter beer style, Pale Ale, was so popular that brewers had to import Californian hops to meet demand. Meantime London Pale Ale continues that tradition by combining lots of American Cascade and Centennial hops to give it a complex citrus aroma and buckets full of local Kentish Goldings to provide the bitterness that makes the style so refreshing. Together they conspire to assail the nose with a complex, heady mix of spearmint, grass and ‘hop sack’ aromas, fruity citrus flavours and a bitter finish that makes pale ale drinking a truly rewarding experience.

Clear deep gold color with weak off white foam. Aromas are lightly hoppy, floral and citrusy though quite weak. Palate, medium body, thin light texture, leaving weak metallic finish. Taste is watery? maybe remotely bitter, and very lightly hoppy, though has metallic tones to it. Overall, second beer from meantime, both look nice and promising but end up tasting like cheaper lager with metallic taste, quite watery and weak, and leaves me sad once more.

From bottle. Thin head and caramel color. Not as hoppy as I would expect from a pale ale. Relatively smooth.

*Keg-sample at Heathrow Terminal 5. Light and sessionable brew. Not too deep, floral with a crisp body. Nice and round, not too deep, but solid made!

Tastes like Robinsons they must have nicked the house yeast. Golden thin head hops vomit butter very standard fare.

Bottle from Gardiner Haskings, Bristol. Appearance: medium white head which disappears quickly, gold colour, clear, fair lacing. Aroma: mostly grain, a bit of burnt plastic. Taste: lightly bitter. Palate: light body, medium finish, soft carbonation. Overall: dislike its aroma, otherwise I would say above the average.

Une beau english pale ale frais et houblonné avec de la complexité, de la longueur et de l’équilibre. Enfin une bonne bière pendant ce week-end...

Pint at the Market Porter. A: Bronze, clear, lively looking, medium well retained head, clear. S: Noble hop, Hallertau? More Pilsner than Pale Ale. T: Sour dough, lots of rye bread gave way to fruity bitterness. M: Lots of carbonation, had a real snap to it. O: Seemed stronger than it was, would drink again. More of a European than American take on a pale ale.
