Mar 4, 2007 Bottle: Fruit, cocoa, and nut aroma; musty and fairly sweet initail flavor, somewhat burnt and roasty, bitter-chocolate and acidic finish; slightly watery and undercarbonated body, but this is not detracting, it makes it very drinkable; quite balanced. Yum.

Feb 26, 2007 Pours dark amber with a thin, white head. Fair aroma of fruit and nuts. Rather malty. Thinnish-mouth feel with a nutty flavor quality. Rather akin to coffee and cola as well. Sweet aftertaste. Not bad!

Feb 18, 2007 Very attractive almost-black pour. The flavor was intensely roasted grains, burnt caramel, chocolate, and a very prominent smoke flavor in the finish...very nice! The mouthfeel was a tad thinner than I like, but OK. I enjoyed this one a great deal, and would definitely consider it to be repeatable.

Feb 13, 2007 Dark, almost black with a large tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate with a roasted, almost burnt smell. Taste Is same as the aroma with a slight hop flavor as well. Personally, I found the body a little thinner than I like in a porter. Otherwise, a good porter but not one of my personal favorites.

Feb 7, 2007 Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours dark with a large tan head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, and hops. The flavor is mostly chocolate, traces of roast and hops in the finish. Good body, excellent brew.

Feb 7, 2007 c/- Martin @ Twisted Hop. Black with red highlights, poured with a lively carbonation. Full mouth, oily but not resinous. Subtle hints of coffee choclate & treacle. Slight hop bitterness. A joy to drink and it’s travelled well to get here in good shape this side of the world. Cheers Martin.

Feb 4, 2007 Dark reddish brown with a brown head. Chocolate malt aroma. Taste is just right for a porter: chocolate, coffee, liquorice sweetness, ash, not too bitter. Makes a change from the harshness of some stouts.
