Commercial Description:
Avaailable on Keg and in 750ml bottles.
George Washington was a big fan of imported English Porter. By 1769 he'd lost his taste for British beers. After all, it was keeping the Redcoats fighting. Our Porter is based on a recipe from 1750. We bring you the original aromas and flavours of the beer that made London the world's brewing capital, flavours we know Washington would have loved. Time, care and attention have enabled us to produce a blend of beers bringing you the flavour of the 1750's. Share this beer with friends and enjoy with barbeques, fish or shellfish. The ruby colour & bottle conditioning are proof of its heritage and authenticity.

Pours dark amber with a thin, white head. Fair aroma of fruit and nuts. Rather malty. Thinnish-mouth feel with a nutty flavor quality. Rather akin to coffee and cola as well. Sweet aftertaste. Not bad!

Sampled with stegosaurus. Pours a chestnut color with a off-white head. Aroma of chocolate malt and caramel. Flavor is very roasty yet balanced. A decent porter

Very attractive almost-black pour. The flavor was intensely roasted grains, burnt caramel, chocolate, and a very prominent smoke flavor in the finish...very nice! The mouthfeel was a tad thinner than I like, but OK. I enjoyed this one a great deal, and would definitely consider it to be repeatable.

Dark, almost black with a large tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate with a roasted, almost burnt smell. Taste Is same as the aroma with a slight hop flavor as well. Personally, I found the body a little thinner than I like in a porter. Otherwise, a good porter but not one of my personal favorites.

Bottle sampled with Beerded one. Pours dark with a large tan head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, and hops. The flavor is mostly chocolate, traces of roast and hops in the finish. Good body, excellent brew.

c/- Martin @ Twisted Hop. Black with red highlights, poured with a lively carbonation. Full mouth, oily but not resinous. Subtle hints of coffee choclate & treacle. Slight hop bitterness. A joy to drink and it’s travelled well to get here in good shape this side of the world. Cheers Martin.

Dark reddish brown with a brown head. Chocolate malt aroma. Taste is just right for a porter: chocolate, coffee, liquorice sweetness, ash, not too bitter. Makes a change from the harshness of some stouts.

Pours a deep black color with a thin tan head. Smells of hops, malt, and chocolate. Tastes lightly of chocolate and mostly of hops with a slight licorice flavor. Palette is a bit disappointing because it is so thin. Excellent bottle, decent beer.
