Commercial Description:
Avaailable on Keg and in 750ml bottles.
George Washington was a big fan of imported English Porter. By 1769 he'd lost his taste for British beers. After all, it was keeping the Redcoats fighting. Our Porter is based on a recipe from 1750. We bring you the original aromas and flavours of the beer that made London the world's brewing capital, flavours we know Washington would have loved. Time, care and attention have enabled us to produce a blend of beers bringing you the flavour of the 1750's. Share this beer with friends and enjoy with barbeques, fish or shellfish. The ruby colour & bottle conditioning are proof of its heritage and authenticity.

(Bottle) Pours dark red/brown. Aroma of chocolate and light roasted malt. Milk-ish nose with notes of coffee. Milk and dark chocolate in flavour with some alcohol. Harsh, roasted, coffee bitter aftertaste with hints of grapefruit/citrus hops. No taste that lingers. Medium, malty boby.

Another nice brew from meantime. Aroma is that of malts and semi sweet chocolate. Flavor is very much the same. This is a good porter.

Pours dark brown, almost looks like a brown ale rather than a porter. Aroma of caramel and coffee, but rather faint. Taste is about the same, again faint. Palate is thin. I’d say they took a good porter and watered it down. The IPA was much better.

Body is a foggy dark brown, no head, and looks like very little carbonation. The cork has no pop to it, just like the ipa. Aroma is a bit of caramel, light coffee, mollases. Taste is like a rocky road ice cream, along with a slight alcohol influence and almonds also. Very differant.

Black, beige lasting head. Very impressive appearanec the head is almost as dense ad whipped cream. Mild, friendly aroma with malty sweetness, roasted malts and licorice. Rich flavour with more malts. Roasted bread. Some licorice - and a touch of chocolate too?. Great london porter.

bottle.a very clean brown/red pour with thin tan head. hops, sugar, chocolate, roasted aroma. smoked taste becomes more present in the aftertaste. light body, caramel, sweet chocolate, a little coffee, earthy and slightly metallic. slightly bitter finish. could the commercial description be a little longer? I don’t think it got across saying absolutely nothing. This is a descent porter. I was expecting more though.

Looks like a porter. :) Aromas are fantastic, chocolate, cream, caramel, roasted malt. Taste is a tad sweet, super smooth, nice mellow smokey and roasted flavors. Really well balanced. I poured a little on my vanilla ice cream. Delicious.
